A person like yourself who supported the suppression of news concerning the country wide rapes of working class girls from reaching the public isn't someone who can seriously talk about a 'free press' on here.

Silicon Valley is heading for a fall and all because they gave in to the far left activists. From what I'm hearing there will be a reckoning and a re-balancing.

I come across some ignorance in my long life but it never fails to amaze me that there is always someone out there who can top it. You carry on with the attempted wisecracks and insults. There is much joy in seeing people dig their own holes without realising they are doing it. Like wise! Honey

I'm not sure what you mean by that but hopefully they will be made to pay their fair share of taxes and to take responsibility for some of the vile stuff on the internet.

Sad story about Trump's immigrant tree un- timely death, because he didn't go through proper immigration checks on arrival. Let this be a warning to any illegal immigrant tree trying to get into the UK

As long as what you consider to be 'vile' isn't illegal then it's a matter of taste.

It is a daft comment. Supporting the media co-operating with the Police and other authorities in an effort to not raise tension and cause over reaction is not suppressing the news or limiting the freedom of the press. You can criticise the press for doing so, if indeed that's what they did, or you can criticise them for missing the story, but it has nothing at all with any attempt by anyone to restrict the freedom of the press. You can criticise the way the Police and the authorities handled the matter but you cannot link that to any kind of freedom of the press issues. For me it's no different to the media voluntarily deciding not to publish stories that could harm our national security, or reveal sensitive sources. As we now have malign foreign countries orchestrating leaks via social media this is a serious current issue.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |
