dear staffie (assuming you are retired for tonight), is there any chance of another Doris Day Album. ? I was looking for something with 'whip crackaway' from the "Callamity Jane" film, but found nothing. Is there any chance of finding this, at your leisure. ?

Todays first download is a set by ABWH - (Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe) Yes in all but name. This is a show they played in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1989 and is in superb quality. The only problem with this show - which lasts 2h 20m is that it's a continuous mp3 file and not seperate tracks. Some great Yes songs on this one though, and all the band are in great form. The vocals of Jon Anderson are well up in the mix - as are all the instruments. If you like Yes you probably won't mind that its a continuous mp3 file as you will probably play the whole show through... This is thoroughly recommended - it's wicked! Todays second download is a set by two music legends Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker - both original members of the band Cream. This is a show that was played at the Bottom Line Club in New York City in December 1989. The first set is Jack Bruce and his band - Ginger is in for the second set.... you can hear immediately the audiences reaction when he walks onstage... then the band play some classics like White Room, Sunshine Of Your Love and Toad. This is great stuff... Todays extra download is the first album or bootleg by this band that I've posted. They are called Uncle Tupelo and they started in Illinois in 1987. They were active until 1994 when the band split - with a few of the members then forming the band Wilco. This is a show they recorded at Slim's Bar in San Francisco in 1993 and is in superb quality. They music they play is alternative country with a blend of rock - "alternative rock?". It's good stuff though, so if you like this band or alt country - this is thoroughly recommended..
