The problem is, as yesterday's interaction shows, he often doesn't even believe what hes saying. When he inadvertently admits that on occasion it's just 'let's move along now'. As such he's the very defiition of what propoganda is. Let's hope when the British prisoners of war is put to death it's not recorded, as that'll probably be popping up on here as lesson to others. It's not like it'd be that much worse than what's already been posted. Using a mans fear of being murdered to create and spread a propoganda piece.

Given the size of the Hol's readership, it seems extremely unlikely that a Russian troll farm would place one of their own here, but reading some of these posts does make you wonder.

There's obviously an employment opportunity for at least one member here!

It doesn't matter whether what he thinks about western culture is honest or not. What social conservaties think matters little as they aren't the ones holding power.

To me all that matters is what is true and what isn't true as much as that can be determined....what policy produces and what it doesn't.

The real world is Utilitarian and realpolitik.....the latter is unfortunate, while the former is no longer the dominate focus of the west.

The problem is that what Putin conceives as "Russia" is not what you, I, or most in the west believe it to be.

Putin has had a barely concealed resentment over the break-up of the Soviet Union and sees it as his mission to restore it. For him, there is no difference between Russia and the USSR.

That's why we must not allow this invasion to succeed at will. It may well ultimately do, but the cost to Putin must be so great that his further ambitions get trashed.

The cost to us will be great, and politically very difficult to manage. People are already becoming weary. However, the cost of not doing so is potentially much worse. So we must all share the pain and hope that there will be sufficient pressure on Russia for an event that triggers a new leadership and new direction.

Why don't the Allies (NATO) get a big old army together, like we did a couple of times against Iraq. Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction, but we still managed to take over the oil wells. OK people are still being killed by Islamic people with mental health 'issues' on Allied soil, but we got control of the oil.

Actually, that is a bad idea, because waiting in the wings would be China, India, pakistan who would see weakened superpowers and might fancy their chances.

Probably better to nuke Russia, and also make pre-emptive strikes on India, pakistan, Africa and China, just to make sure they don't get any 'funny ideas'. And Israel, just for good measure.

Agreed. The pro-Russia and anti-Ukraine factions on here should be ashamed of themselves.

What utter b0llocks.

No one has to be anti or pro anything to disagree with this war.

You politics are why people are going hungry and can't pay their bills, not mine.

Think whatever nonsense you want.

It's the politics of the neo and social liberals that have led us here so personally I don't think anything you push leads anywhere positive.

I think you would blame tomorrow's weather, if it didn't suit your particular needs, on "neo and social liberals". They seem to the source of all evil in your eyes.

I witness similar attitudes to yours coming from the narrow-minded, hard-line, devoted Trump supporters in the USA who are convinced their country is in the grip of a Marxist takeover, just because they now have a President who is a little more socially aware than the last one.

Ensuring Putin is stopped from expanding west is such an obvious prerequisite to our future safety and security, this really ought to be a matter we all get behind, whatever our politics.

When the far-right go out of their way to disagree, and it is primarily the far-right which seems to be doing this, I feel ashamed. Ashamed that some of ours are providing Putin with quotes and justifications he can use against us to bolster his position at home.

In my view, this could be regarded as providing comfort to the enemy, which in the USA is treason, and a crime punishable by death, should we actually be at war with Russia.

Right now, it's just shameful.

No faces visible, another Russian tactical white transit van. Laughable.
