According to an Italian judge this week, if it lasts less than 10 seconds it doesn't count as a grope.

I imagine that a few Italian males' eyes lit up at that

My anecdote about a middle aged lady groping me during a Gary Numan gig is now invalid then, as I would estimate I lasted a maximum of 6 seconds.

How many of those 6 seconds was spent finding the 'target'?

The rest was welcomed by me. So much so Ii extended it by a week whilst still observing. It might have been calmer, when people are massaging egos it tends to be calm, but reasonable it wasn’t. The bias and prejudices were every bit as evident as when I post too.

Perhaps you haven’t noticed but I only posting in this thread, simply because the integrity of the BBC and its importance is something close to my heart and I find the kind of attacks indulged in here to be both distasteful and ignorant.

Depends if you understood them. Viz, Johnny Rotten wanting to kill people in films or real life.

I got what he meant but the claim made in the headline and supported by you simply wasn’t by what he actually said or what the BBC did. He didn’t “out” Savile. He, like others, voiced concerns and disliked him. As, by the way, so did I. The BBC did remove him but not because of anything he said about Savile. He was pretty OTT himself and was deliberately controversial. They acted for those reasons.

His voicing of concerns obviously shows he'd heard about Savile's activities. If he'd heard what are the chances of the BBC not having done so?

2011? A bit out of date.

Survey's are always a bit dodgy and can be skewed as I said previously a better barometer is the real world attitude to the licence fee. Currently more than 20m of us pay it because we more or less have to. However that number is falling year on year largely due to demographics, lack of interest and the cost of living crisis rather than any defund the BBC campaign.

Perhaps in a few years non payment and the admin cost of collecting it will become a bigger issue which is why the BBC is so keen to replace the licence fee with some form of broadband tax (like VAT) and have someone else collect it.

So how do you establish a “world attitude “ unless you survey? You just have a mess of conflicting opinions.

I don’t have a problem with replacing the licence fee with another way of funding. So long as we all pay and it keeps the BBC independent of government.

Why should we all pay? Because we all benefit, whether we use it or not.

Heard or just felt him to be creepy? That’s what most felt. As I did. This was at a time when parents were actively pushing their children towards him in the hope of getting noticed. There simply wasn’t the same awareness there is now.

Maybe he'd heard from one of the 100+ witnesses at the enquiry.

You seem to find any opinion that you don't agree with as distasteful and ignorant and half the time you seem to attack any opinion just for the sake of it - it's all very odd.

Ok I'll ask AGAIN how do I benefit from the BBC?

Obviously not much going on in Truro to fill the days, so trolling helps while away the hours
