How many buses have been bombed it went up to three but now I'm hearing only one.

sky are still reporting three, but only a picture of one has been shown

From what I understand from BBC, there was only one bus explosion. There were only four explosions in total but two trains were involved in one, and another was between stations so people are evacuating from separate stations thus leading people to assume they are two separate explosions.

Different news from different sources though.

There were seven explosions in 4 places according to the Met Police.

This has just been posted on another forum that I post on

"Just spoke to the GF and she has been put back on red alert again (shes a senior nurse in a south london Hospital) as there are unconfirmed reports of something going on in Croydon. A bloke at work mentioned it as well."

Will second this as my GF also works in a south london hospital!!

As the BBC understand it (straight from the news on the TV):

8:49am loud bangs heard at Liverpool Street station and Aldgate station. Later believed to be the same explosion, though could be separate.

Minutes later, explosion at Edgware.

Tube shut down.

Explosion reported on Double Decker bus in Tavistock Square, near Russell Square.

Further explosions reported at Liverpool Street and Aldgate, but again these were believed to be the same single explosion reported earlier.

Total explosions actually now believed to be just four.

Still just two confirmed deaths, though other uncomfirmed reports of people dead elsewhere. Hundreds injured, many critical.

I hope they bring out a charity wristband so that we help those who have been affected by today's events and to show our unity to those cowards who attacked us.

theres no doubt that the 7th July 2005 will be remembered, although other dates for bombing in London dont' seem to be remembered, for example, the IRA bombings, however, that was pre 9/11

As Danny Butterfield wheeled away, arms aloft in celebration of his third goal – an expression of delight and astonishment on his face – a man seated beside me in the stands turned to his young son and told him that he would remember this moment for the rest of his life. I will too.

That makes no sense. They'd have hit Clapham Junction too then.

All i need to hear, my dad is working there right now but i do see your point of view.

I'd hazard a guess that anything outside of Zone 1 London is people getting scared at the mere sight of a plastic bag in the street. It is a time of worry but use some logic and common sense people!

Look at Madrid, Bali, New York - they didn't hit suburbs, they hit popular work/tourist areas.

Plus they always hit overground - the pictures speak more words than anything else ever can.

There is a pattern to the attacks.

I'm sure your dad is fine Bedge.

That's what I said, you need to stop worrying Mark, they are not even going to bother with CJ.

The home office has only confirmed 4 at the moment. Howver, I believe they are waiting for more evidence at each site to prove it to be a terrorist attack at the respective sites, eg-explosive device remaines

I'm just going by what they are saying on the BBC. Just said there were only four explosions - other reports were just repeats of already reported explosions. I guess it's all going to be a bit wishy-washy in terms of information for a while.

Sky's website is reporting differently... what a surprise!

BBC have just confirmed again that it's 4 bombs causing problems at 7 sites. So people leaving different underground stations reporting problems that are actually linked to a nearby station (eg Liverpool and Aldgate)

They've got bombs, we've got wristbands. I can really see that working

Such a campaign would be crass and ineffective, in my opinion, not to mention possibly in bad taste.
