I take it only registered members can vote? Would be interesting though to find out. As said before, it was either people too young, or people too greedy for money, or people with a bizarre sense of humour...

untill i hear a bit more info on the supposed take over i'm on the fence but i would'nt write it of . which way are you going roffey as you seem to be open to it in your last post
And I'm 16, and I don't remember Locherbie but I know enough about him from recent news to know that this guy is a terrorist. Grump, so you mean that just because it's ok by Tony Blair, whose judgement is awful, then it's ok by you?

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Would you actually not go anymore if gadaffi came?' by jcreedy I'd still go. As far as I would be concerned crystal palace are milking his money. No one else could convince me otherwise.
As Danny Butterfield wheeled away, arms aloft in celebration of his third goal – an expression of delight and astonishment on his face – a man seated beside me in the stands turned to his young son and told him that he would remember this moment for the rest of his life. I will too. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Who voted 'Yes' for Gaddafi?' by jcreedy I didn't actually vote ... but I thought that perhaps ... just perhaps it could work ... he is rich (the next ambrovich perhaps) and it could mean international recognition for Palace. But I am also aware of the blood money thing! PS Before you all bite my head off, notice the operative word here is perhaps Edited by Blue'n'red (22 Jul 2004 8:43pm)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Would you actually not go anymore if gadaffi came?' by jcreedy At the End of the Day if Gadafi Did buy Palace and all of a sudden we had really big stars playing for us if some of the Palace fans did stay away you would have others to take their place look at Liverpool and Man Utd most of their I can not see it happening though.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Who voted 'Yes' for Gaddafi?' by jcreedy I did not vote because it was a non starter from months ago when it was first mentioned and besides SJ has always said he would NOT put the club to the "wolves" and that he would ONLY sell to someone that was GOOD for the club. I am old and DO remember the "Old Days of Gaddafi in fact I was in the Royal Marines stationed in Malta when he tried to take over the island by sending in troops disguised as tourists and their weapons were on another plane that came in close behind. He was thwarted and his troops were sent packing leaving the weapons behind in our care. He had been called in by the then Prime Minister of Malta, Mr Mintoff. AS history shows we pulled out of Malta shortly afterwards and left Mr Mintoff to get voted out in the following local elections which then stopped Lybians going to the Island on holiday in mass. Take it from me IF he were to buy a stake in the club, and I say IF HE WERE it might not be as bad as some of you think....it would not be the end of the world you know........BUT AS I SAID IT JUST AINT GONNA HAPPEN... NO WAY!!!!!!!
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Who voted 'Yes' for Gaddafi?' by jcreedy I voted yes. I will try my upmost hardest to keep away from the political aspect of this but I do need to support my argument where I can. To be quite honest its not necessarily Gaddafi who would buy the club its a Libyan company that his family have a controlling share in, To call it blood money is obscene at best, The main reason that Muammar is linked to this is through the surname, this business venture may not have anything to do with either him or his son (as the following link confirms) With Respect to Pan Am Flight 103 there are many arguments and counter arguments in relation to what really happened and many now believe that it wasnt infact Libya at fault but Iran. see below... ''A TV program which aired on Sunday the 4th of June 2000 in the United States revealed details about the alleged involvement of the Iranian government in the Lockerbie disaster. The CBS current affairs program 60 minutes carried a report about an Iranian intelligence service defector who says that the bombing of a Pan Am aircraft over Scotland was devised by Iran to take revenge on the United States after U.S. Navy vessel accidentally shot down an Iranian Airbus in July 1988, killing 290. The defector, Ahmad Behbahani, says he has documents in his possession that prove that his Islamic fundamentalist country and not Libya was behind the bombing. Before the airing of this programme, it was already being alleged that Iran contracted out the Pan Am bombing to a financially strapped Syrian-based Palestinian group, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC). German police raids on PFLP-GC hide-outs in 1988 and 1989 yielded information the group was targeting a U.S.-bound flight from Frankfurt and turned up bombs that appeared to match the Lockerbie bomb. "It's very difficult to believe there were two separate operations targeting the same flight,'' said Cannistraro, who believes the PFLP-GC handed off the bombing to Libya after the raids compromised its operation.'' [Link] Gaddafi did announce that Libya was responsible for the Pan Am bombing but you have to realise he wanted Libya to come out of the International wilderness so by making an apology he got his wish. Freedom fighters / Terrorists there all the same when you grow up with blood shed around you everyday compassion is something just not needed. But again I come to the point your not going to have Gaddafi parading down the holmesdale as I believe he has nothing to do with what is simply a business venture. At the end of the day if this all comes to fruition we have a very wealthy company pumping an incredible amount of money into this club & if the new owners are patient and the money managed correctly then this would be a great move for Crystal Palace football club. We have all sweat blood & tears long enough for Palace, I believe there is not one Palace fan out there who wouldnt do it all again as I believe we love this roller coaster, We all dream of success so why not take it instead of shunning it away, afterall this would only be another twist & turn in the ride that is Palace. This post has been merged from a topic called 'Who voted 'Yes' for Gaddafi?' by jcreedy The people that voted yes are forgetting that we are crystal palace. The club where we have always stuck together and been through alot together including all the staff and the players. If this w@nker took over all that would belost. We would be a business there to make money for a gang of terrorists. I myself being 16 aswell would lose my pride. We have now got some respect off of people cos of what we have become. We dont want to lose this now! We have got something special. This guy cannot take over. And to be quite honest, anyone who thinks that he should needs to look at it again cos it is not good. It would be terrible!
