And it is going to get worse, with the critical injuries, confidence shattered and rudderless management. Truthfully, I heard an interview on R5 and there was considerable sympathy for Roy. With Eze and Olise playing together, we are lethal. Without one or both we are toothless. They have hardly played together through injuries to both. That is not wholly Roy's fault. The dearth of available payers is the owners and they are only now seeking to rectify that. However, what that should have produced was a staunch, never die attitude from those available to play. It isn't there. And what causes greatest concern to me is the fact that Roy is known for his defence. we lose, sure, but don't get stuffed. However, we have shifted 11 goals in 3 matches with the same 4 defenders we had before. Something is very wrong.

About the only positive thing from yesterday was Mateta's excellent headed goal, which I don't think anyone has mentioned. Wasn't it just. Especially as he was outside the front post. Really great header. Shame we don't cross the ball more.

It certainly was. If the medical team said that they felt Olise could manage 45 minutes, he should have been properly warmed up pre match and started the game. Bringing him on with the game already done made no sense. As soon as Olise pulled up on the halfway line, I left the stadium, I was so angry. if he had a hamstring issue he shouldn't have played at all. If he was ok to play i wonder if he didn't warm up properly. To feel something so early, after less than 10 minutes, suggests the muscle wasn't fully warmed up
