Roy’s his own man with clear ideas about how the game is played and what he expects from his players. I don’t think he’ll play Franca until he deems him to be ready - regardless of the fee. He knows what he’ll get from the likes of Schlupp and Ayew and this is why they are continually selected. Franca has not trained with the team yet and doesn’t know Roy’s methods or his new teammates so unless he’s truly exceptional I think the most we’ll see of him in the early weeks will be the occasional cameo. Talented young players Eze and Olise do seem to have responded well to Roy’s coaching so there’s no reason why Franca should not succeed , but he’s new to the country and the league and patience may be required.

Roy’s his own man with clear ideas about how the game is played and what he expects from his players.
I don’t think he’ll play Franca until he deems him to be ready - regardless of the fee.
He knows what he’ll get from the likes of Schlupp and Ayew and this is why they are continually selected.

Then, with a year’s experience, move to the centre if, or more likely when, Eze moves on, when Rak Sakai should be ready to play wide right.
