Not sure if this has been mentioned but apparently their goalie completed more passes than any of our players last night. Embarrassing.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Along with WBA and Sheffield, with ourselves just above them, fourth from bottom. Hopeless, hopeless, and yet more hopeless. We have won more games than 7 other teams with the same games won as Southampton and one less than Arsenal. Strongest squad in his time but now missing 10 players. There are not many teams who could cope with that many missing. Edited by EddieMac (09 Feb 2021 11.36am)

That's because Leeds kept passing back to him, I counted at least 20 back passes to him. Reminded me of Arsenal and Liverpool back in the 70s which was why the law was introduced that the goalie could not pick up the ball from a backpass to him. But don't let facts get in the way of any attempts to criticise our team.

Here's another one, we have conceded two more goals than rock bottom Sheffield United, 8 eight more than Fulham and only less than West Brom. There is a backpass rule indeed, they didn't need it last night.

Last night's performance just shows what a threadbare squad we have in terms of quality. Take 3 starters out of the team Zaha, Tomkins and Schlupp (maybe Macca) and we're barely able to be competitive. We're not alone in that e.g Wolves form without Jiminez isn't far off ours without Wilf, Sheff never recovered losing O'Connel, even Liverpool struggling with a few first teamers out. But our injuries combined with aging squad deepens our issues further. In the last few games we have tried different things a 451 with Eze central, PVA on the left, new boy up front... all things I've seen regularly asked for on here... but tbh when the replacements offer very little it doesn't really matter what formation we play or who is up top. Our composure and ability to pass out from the back has never been great but now really is at an all time low. I've no doubt they'll be a few more horror shows before the season is through and my only hope is this hastens our activity in the summer. With such an overhaul coming we can be slow out of the traps. I think will scrape through a few of the upcoming games which will help us limp over the line (a little fearful of the Brighton game though). Roll on the summer rebuild... and hopefully a couple of youth players added to the 1st team bubble before that. Edited by samprior (09 Feb 2021 1.04pm)

Actually it doesn't prove anything just the same as your post doesn't either regarding some teams conceding less than us. The only Fact that matters is we are 13th in he table with 29 points.

Do carry on trying to police any criticism of anything Palace related though, I am sure the last thing the world of football needs is fans having opinions on managers, ownership, players or diabolical performances the likes of which we have seen repeatedly this season including last night. Didn't you assert your wish to have the 'Roy out' thread shut down also? Another great contribution to a internet forum for sure.

Well if you really think that after 232 pages of a thread going over and over the same old ground ad nauseum is a great contribution to an internet forum then carry on. If fans from other clubs read this thread they must be killing themselves laughing.
