A lot of the shows won't/can't be put on because they have things in the that might insult people. It's a valid point. To Kill A Mocking Bird is a classic book about racism I had to book 4 months in advance so the public will turn up for the right material. I love the book and the subject matter doesn't offend me. However why do I have to hear about racism and all the other ism's in Cinderella or Jane Austen. Stop lecturing us and just tell us the story. Edited by Badger11 (06 Jun 2022 12.35pm)

Apologies in advance because if you ain't a sad politics geek then the following article will probably make very little sense but it exposes what is happening at the moment with regards to Labour and its battle against what it sees as the Corbynite (and its a loose alliance) left. It's an expose of Paul Mason (ex-BBC presenter and then rabid campaigner for a second referendum and now, seemingly, an attack dog for Starmer) with the implications of what he wants to achieve, which is essentially to de-platform any left-wing source that he perceives not be toeing the new party line, specifically on Ukraine, a prime example of the Left trying to devour itself.
"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." - 1984 - George Orwell. |

Funny how this is such a small article on the Daily Mail website. Yorkshire Cricket Staff Win Unfair Dismissal Case. Has the BBC picked this up? if not why not? I have no idea about their guilt or innocence but at the time many of us said it was a witch hunt with the assumption that Rafiq was telling the truth so case closed. The tribunal hasn't ruled on their guilt or innocence just that they were never giving a fair hearing. I would hope that Michael Vaughan now sues the BBC for the same reason. Peoples lives and livelihoods are being destroyed without due process. Noel Clarke is suing BAFTA and several other organisations. Again I have no knowledge of his guilt or innocence but he has pointed out that his career has been destroyed without due process. The police are not even investigating these allegations let alone charging him.

But it was entirely supported and made to happen by the political class, under supposedly Tories.

I note that Lisa Nandy was interviewed this morning and failed to come out and condemn the rail strikes - she actually said that she supported the rail workers - oh - and the public as well in an afterthought!.
