What is the average population of the rest of the postcode comparisons vs crimes recorded.

100 (last) – Southend-on-Sea (SS2) / POP 36,426 / CRIMES 661 / 1.8% of population
2 – Croydon (CR0) / POP 153,812 / CRIMES 1,663 / 1.1% of population

CR0 has comfortably double the amount of people living within it than 80 of the other entries on this list. Why people cannot do simple simple balanced and objective deconstruction of statistics, or any source they think supports their 'argument' I will never know.

Note – this ratio checks out for pretty much every other column on there.

This isn't even reflective of the total population for the borough, which was the focus of my earlier points, standing at a massive 363,378 as of 2011 (the largest borough by population in Greater London)

If you want to debate total crime statistics properly, come back to me with a similar list comparing whole boroughs.

The figures you have provided in the context you have provided them are not a fair or accurate comparison. They also do not support your implied assertion that Croydon is one of the worst places to live (or at least within that list). That is the point. How hard is it?

Although I have a lot of differences with his points of view, Stirling was a good debater. There are not many of his calibre on here.

One more thing since you quote Southend it does attract over 5m visitors each year which might affect these percentages.

So if we stop increasing the borough's populations crime will go down. You've cracked it!
