If your going to quote or paraphrase, do it correctly. Not need to sell but sell if the price is a good one for Palace. That should be 'you're'. I would not sell for any amount. I want to see good football, not a stack of cash.

We wouldn't need two. Ward and Kelly could provide cover. £20M for a right back, plus money to cover key positions like a ball playing midfielder, striker, or back up winger would help. No disrespect ment but do you really think Ward still has the pace to play in the premier league? Kelly is in his prime but gets a nose bleed anytime he passes the half way line. Even if AWB stays we will need right back cover. We need cover in most areas but getting rid of Arron is not the answer . And the wage bill ?
oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton. |

Which is relevant to the point being debated/argued. The grammar correction is not.

Exactly what happened to the two best sides ever to pull on a palace shirt, King Kenny left in the early 80’s and Wrighty left in the early 90’s team and we supposedly lacked ambition, so some of our better players got itchy feet and the rails fell off. Although times have changed and I think players are a bit happier to stick around because they’re on such fat contracts, even at palace £££££

Last season was AWB's first full season. Man Utd are toilet at the back at present. AWB is more than ready for them because he is already better defensively than any defender they have in their team and that is a fact born out of statistics as well as observation. Regardless of that, we should preferably not sell him at all and if we do, then not for a penny less than £60m.

One of key interesting points I've read among the headlines and speculation is the suggestion that OGS is keen to get this deal over the line quickly. That would benefit us. If AWB wants to move now and we get the right fee somewhere around 60m then we will have a good amount to spend without having to wait to the end of the transfer window and end up sifting through the bargain basement. (FACT: The club have done that in the past and we have often declared on the HOL how embarrassed we are by Parish's approach to the window). I appreciate that we're holding out right now and this could go on a bit longer and also that if money does come in we aren't likely to just go and spunk it all two or three new signings. But it does enable us to get some business done early. Also, just because we might have money won't mean players will jump to sign for us before biding their time and seeing what offers they get. But we can make serious offers and allow ourselves to prevent instances where we could potentially lose a deal because we either haven't shifted someone else off the books, or if we have a player plucked from the squad at the last minute of the transfer window with no time to find a replacement. Having a kitty sooner would help in this regard. Another benefit to us if we do sign players early is that some of the squad may settle because they can see we have intent, or potentially some under-performing players seek a deal elsewhere recognising they are being replaced. Just my observations, but what is clear is that AWB will be excellent for this club whether he stays or goes.
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |
