It will be terrible. Will the grounds be open to the air or will they be closed and have air condition for the whole stadium? If not I do worry how the players will hold up to the extreme heat.

Open air, but in November and December when it should be 20-25 ish degrees.

They binned off the air conditioned stadiums and keeping it in the summer within about 5 minutes of winning the bid.

At last some common sense

Well a bit more common sense would've been to say you can't bid for it as you can't host it in summer.

No summer football tournament followed by the most chaotic of seasonse ever, without any games over the festive period. It's gonna be weird.

Weird? It’s gonna be QATAR-strophic!

Uruguay's 'keeper has just made a very Karius esque mistake.

He'll be thanking his lucky stars he's not Colombian or he'd possibly have some more dangerous shots to deal with in the near future.

I suspect the Uruguay keeper may not be at the next World Cup.

What is really annoying me is the holier than thou attitude of some of the ex-Man Utd players. Neville having a go at Uruguay (who have been a bit naughty) but he doesn't mention he played with one of the biggest thugs of modern football in Roy Keane.

Another awful team to watch participate in a game. Constantly cheating, diving and full of histrionics.

It wouldn't really drops seamlessly into the commentary would it? Same as he can't exactly use the line "he's more of a cheat than Ryan Giggs is".

He didn't pick him to play for Man Utd either, but ITV picked him to be a pundit for a World Cup his country isn't even in.

It's more the hypocrisy. How many times would he have run screaming to the ref pleading Keane's innocence after Keane had attempted to maim yet another player? Yet he complains of other teams surrounding and shouting at the ref and being dirty (although Uruguay were nowhere near as dirty as that animal Keane).

Unless he said something like "I'd never have done that" it's not hypocrisy. He can only commentate on what is going on in the game, and that is what they were doing.

I'm fairly sure he'll admit that Keane was dirty player if that was the subject matter.
