Daft thing is if Luka had taken the second pen and missed it me and probably everyone else wouldn’t be half cheesed off as we are right now

No we wouldn't. We'd be at 18th behind West Brom on goal differance alone.

Phew! It wasn’t such an important miss as we thought then!! (???)

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Two points lost through Benteke's ego and Speroni's poor keeping (again). Sickening.

Couldn't regrettably get to game today and had to ask for scoreline from fans whilst travelling back through Croydon. Immediate (and hardly surprising) response is that Benteke's ego has more than likely cost us 2 much needed additional points. He MUST remember that he is a TEAM player and whilst he wants to get his first goal of the season, it will come in other ways.

Why has Palace team imploded upon rash decisions at various points this season? Discipline is key for 90+mins.

Expect Benteke to be torn apart RIGHTFULLY by Shearer and co. on MOTD tonight.

How we need a win against Watford next week...but I can't see it coming....

He should and hopefully will be fined for that. I'd dock the c*** 2 weeks wages for it frankly.

What really worries me is the two points lost today and against Everton could cost us at the end of the season.

Perhaps we'd be better with a bottle job who gets "back spasms" in the warm up you t0sser.

And if Parish had done even remotely a reasonable job this summer they wouldn't be. Said to my mate if we had a decent striking option off the bench, they'd be on on the 70th minute. Nope, just the one striker for us. That'll do. And two championship keepers too. Awful chairman.

Agreed, I'd fine him, but leave it at that. He played well, especially in the 2nd half, seems to be regaining some kind of sharpness. Hopefully he's feeling that and will be wanting to make up for it against Watford.

Zaha needs to practice crossing, and if he doesn't have the time and space to get one in, he should try and beat his man, rather than hitting it into the Arthur.

It's painful seeing us have so many good counter attacking chances and making a pigs ear of them. A more clinical team would put them to the sword. Still, I didn't think we played that badly overall.

I for one am not persuaded that Spironi made an error in conceding Defoe's second goal.

As for Defoe's first goal.................blatant cheating.

[Link]

Defoe's first goal was scored just after King had held Jeff Schlupp back with both his arms, preventing Jeff from tracking Defoe. Until then, Jeff had been on Defoe.

I wonder how much they practised that fouling in their set-piece training, too. It would not be difficult to plan such a foul, knowing that Defoe would be marked. Furthermore, the ref had no chance of seeing it because he was watching the ball not, King.

That first goal should not have been given.

Presumably Milivojevic will eventually miss one but you can bet this - he knows how to give himself the best chance of scoring and if he doesn't score it'll be because he forced a fine save from the keeper.

Tekers' penalties are f***ing s***e. He's scored 2 out of the 5 he's taken for us and one of those two was the same sort of feeble push down the middle and he was lucky it went in.

And if he can't score from there you could be forgiven for thinking he can't score from anywhere.
