What should Theresa May do with her naughty mp's? Put them in monks robes, cover their modesty apart from a few inches for the eyes and impose a curfew of 3pm.

Covering their modesty of their ankles and cheeks is apparently empowering. You're excusing wearing it in a western Country? Years ago I dealt with men wearing their full nikah outfit but the full female veil? No. They change, not us. Others have, they can too. Not everything, just integrate with some basic principles of being able to see the person and them being more equal to men might be a good place to start. Other Muslims have adjusted. I am not excusing it, I am explaining some reasons as to why some muslim women choose to wear a veil or headscarf.
Seriously, what is it?

Seriously, what is it? I'm not embracing or accepting an ignorance of our way of life here and an attempt to introduce a different one from centuries past. If they don't want to integrate then they're likely to stay in Muslim only no go areas. I'm not going to shout at or abuse anyone with even a dirty look. I'll just treat them as if I haven't seen them, which is part of the aim anyway. I don't go into any mainly Muslim areas anyway so it's unlikely but if I do at some point then that's my approach. I'm certainly not going to invite anybody clinging onto and passing on these customs for a can of tizer and a digestive. Th headscarf I don't have an issue with although I do wonder why you wouldn't want to drop it and widen your opportunities for the sake of a bit of cloth people here are a bit, 'meh, what's the point.' You get one crack at life and holding yourself back to cover yourself completely or to wear a scarf in a place people aren't used to it seems a bit pointless when you weigh it up. 2 worlds have collided and I don't see Muslim women rising to wherever they can any century soon.

This is based on what? I know Muslim women who don't wear a headscarf , I've worked with those that do and I've chatted with mums at parents evening who have had the full face veil. All lovely people. I found the full face veil disconcerting at first, I won't deny it, but it turned out with one of them that I knew her cousin who worked at another school I had worked at. I certainly didn't get the sense that she was on some sort of power trip. I'm a bit meh about the veil myself. The fact that women wear it because men can't control their urges is a bit of a s*** reason (I wonder if irony is lost on those people that have said 'it's disgusting they have to cover up ' but have also said 'she probably deserved it dressed like that'? However there are many many Muslim women who like the modesty of the veil, only showing herself off to those close. 'Not many women like to be gawked at. The veil prevents this.' Do you not realise how stupid that sounds. Does layers of cloth and a headscarf not prevent gawking? And lots of women like to look good, be complimented and like their partner to fancy them. I think you're wrong that women in the uk don't want to dress up because they might be seen as objects and suggesting covering up in public in the U.K. is a shameful suggestion. You can look attractive without looking slutty or out on the pull in a club. The choices are really simple. If you wear veils, headscarves etc you're going to find what this country offers very limited. If a woman goes to the Middle East she respects their rules. Apparently we have the problem here. Can't believe these Kevin Spacey rumours are coming out now, when the Harvey Weinstein news came out I googled other Hollywood rumours and came across this [Link] seems it was all legit! same site says Keanu Reeves used the casting couch to get Matrix.
