Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I just heard on 5 live that he will miss the Man U game - my comment was made not knowing the extent of the damage. Still needs to be dropped though because his work rate is so poor and his mobility is non-existent.

Without Bentenke I imagine either Sako will start or RLC will play a false 9 against United, which given his talent and effort might actually work ok. We have to hope Zaha is back for Chelsea as RLC will be out for that. Man City beat a Watford side who have started the season well by more goals, so there's no shame in this result. I still think having these games while Roy is getting his ideas across is a good thing as we're not throwing away points against the teams we need to beat. The big plus point today for me was the way we broke with RLC becoming a second striker when we went forward. The whole midfield was more fluid and pushed forward quicker than when Punch plays (and slows the game down). If we play like we did in the first half against anyone other than City, United or Chelsea then I definitely think we have a chance of getting points, especially with Zaha in the team.

We did well in the first half but not as well as people are claiming I think. People seem to be ignoring the fact that City played terribly (for them) in the first half, gave us far too much respect, maybe it's our rep for losing to s*** teams then suddenly battering champions, thought they were in for an upset, I don't know. We still had the same old problem of not taking the chances when they were presented, which needs to be sorted out desperately, still the same problem of losing concentrationnear the end of the half. Guardiola obviously stuck a rocket up City's arse in the half time talk and they came out and just rolled over us and we crumbled. That's exactly the sort of manager we need to scare the players into giving 100 percent for the whole match, I think Roy picked an excellent (for what we've got) starting xi but I'm not sure if he's going to be much good for upping our confidence levels or shaking our players out of their rut. Having said that I'm still confident-ish we can stay up, there are signs of improvement, I just hope my heart can handle the stress again, good luck everyone, we're going to need it and if we can possibly avoid this place turning into a cesspit of spite again (like during Mildew's reign) then I for one, would be horrendously grateful.
Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot. |

Not a good day. Maybe Benteke getting injured is a blessing. Bring in someone else from academu who is hungry. As far as I'm concerned a table is from 11th down and 8 points off top. We can recover from this based on first half performance

Well done Parish, relying on one striker and managing to mess up the terms on the Turk and Niasse on deadline day. Yes, ... it was a major cock up and yes, we're in an utter mess. A quarter of the season will have passed before we're realistically in a position to get any points. I really can't see CPFC throwing £40 million at a lost cause in January.
