Hit them where it hurts and remind them one of their piers burnt down, they aren't really a city because they don't have a cathedral and their Cineworld isn't as good as the one in Crawley.

I totally get why calling the Weed "benders" is funny. It just ain't cool. It demeans us and places us in the bigots camp. And I don't think Palace is about that. Unlike Millwall and Chelsea

Firstly, that's an absolutely ridiculous comparison. Fat people haven't spent years having to hide themselves because of how society has perceived and judged them. It was never against the law to be fat, and fat people generally don't get beaten up or murdered for being fat. Fat people weren't rounded up and persecuted during the holocaust or prevented from marrying the person they wanted to until very, very recently. No mate it's not. Supporting Palace is a pure choice while being gay isn't. Well I assume that coz I don't recall "choosing" fanny rather than cock. Nor is being black a life-choice apart unless you're Ali G... Surely you can see how being called a ****** or shirt lifter, or hearing some abused in this way, is deeply unpleasant: you're black or gay - or have any empathy with your fellow man. Now I will admit to having used homophobic language in the past and I'm not proud of it but I was young, foolish and not that thoughtful about these things. It comes down to the fact that I didn't give a toss about some people's feelings. Going to university in Brighton in the early 90s was an eye opener, and resulted in my pals giving me no end of stick. i laughed along with it but it's easy when you ain't gay. We have fans that are gay - think about how they will feel before you join in the so-called banter eh? Bet that was your brown eye too aye

Danny - you really think you're heterosexual because your parents were? Come on pal - you ain't that much of a dinosaur. Just where did I say that ? and for the record there has been millions spent on the mental health effect of same sex parents, as I said that is for another thread. And there's a reason why there are laws against racial abuse but none against whatever it is if you call someone fat etc. Ohhh but your wrong, it's called trolling and Cyber bullying my dear friend, that can and has lead to teenagers comitting suicide for being called fat or something as fleeting as being called spotty. I will let you ponder why that is as clearly you need to think about the difference between general piss taking and abusing someone for their intrinsic state. If you are mocking someone it will be because of what ever marks them as different to the abuser, that can be skin colour, sexual preference, (popular right now) religion, weight etc etc. My point is that to a fat man ( eg thyroid problem) being ridiculed because of his weight is just as hurtful to him as it would be for a Homosexual to be ridiculed for his fondness of men. To be utterly Frank with you, who on earth are you to judge what is hurtful to some but not others, it's exactly your type of attitude, that being called the N word is somehow more hurtful to the individual than a deaf man being called cloth ears, that I am trying to highlight. I just don't see how you can qualify your opinion. I totally get why calling the Weed "benders" is funny. It just ain't cool. It demeans us and places us in the bigots camp. And I don't think Palace is about that. Unlike Millwall and Chelsea Well that's your opinion, mine is very different. I come from a generation that had thick skin and wasn't so easily offended, especially on others behalf's
