I'm not saying anyone said it's just Muslims wot are Paedophiles. Just pointing out that Muslim cases get more 'attention' from some than instances such as the ones I posted links to get.

It's a bit like the Boris car crash interview being glossed over vs the hate and vitriol towards Abbott for her car crash interview. (as an aside, if Stirlingsays still thinks Boris would make a good pm even after hearing the Boris er um er um interview then there's no hope for him.)

Maybe the difference is that we have always been stuck with the Catholic and Anglican Church but we didn't have to invite Islam here as well.
You also cannot have things in isolation when it suits you. We have had a few other problems with some Muslims recently in case you hadn't noticed. Oddly enough, that might have caused some resentment.

Awaits accusations of racism and blaming the Tories....

There was no mention of them being white, or Christian, and in many cases the BBC relationship wasn't reported as explicitly as Muslim would be in the sex offences cases

Would that perhaps be because:

a) the public knew of most of them (in the same way the press doesn't refer to Anthony Joshua or Mohamed Ali as being black boxers because everybody knows)

b) white is the default setting in this country (90%) - you point out differences from 'the norm', as you would with unusual size or disability, or looks, in the same was as I'm sure Middle Eastern news would report on criminals being white because it's a differentiating feature

c) the BBC relationship - are you kidding? They were all over it - even the ones I had no idea worked for the BBC I was left in no doubt by the end. The BBC may have been slightly more reticent, but surely you can see the reasons for that

I've sadly only seen them once. Although they played everything I wanted to hear live!

Seen them about six or seven times, although never in the classic line up, being a Floodland, late comer.

I used to be a member of the Reptile House fan club (dweebalert).

Thinking about going in September for a bit of nostalgia (at the Roundhouse). I like their covers, they're light and were great fun live - and it brings that back to me.

Also, Emma is the only song I can play on a bass guitar! (Sisters Version).

No. Just holding up a mirror for you. Now why aren't you up in arms about Christian and care home paedo 's like people of your ilk were about the Rotherham cases?

I'm against child abuse by whoever carries it out.

Why weren't people of your ilk up in arms about Rotherham and the many other towns where Muslim paedophile gangs operated for that matter? Why aren't people of your ilk up in arms about Islamic inspired terrorism, or Islamic inspired genital mutilation or Islamic inspired forced marriages or Islamic election fraud, or Islamic undermining of British laws?

Surely you can play Damage Done on bass guitar. It was one of the first tunes I learnt to play on bass! And Lucretia of course, even easier.

I am up in arms about it.

Child abuse is unacceptable whoever the perpetrators. I was just wondering why the 2 cases I posted links to had not been mentioned on these boards whilst suspecting that if the perpetrators were Muslim there would be outcry.

I do remember the Jersey case - July 2008 police sifted over 150 tonnes of earth. 65 human milk teeth were found, coming from between 10 and 65 individuals aged between 6–12 years and generally seeming to have been shed naturally. Discounting a large quantity of animal bones, only three bone fragments (the largest 25 mm = 1 inch long) were identified as possibly human; two of them have been dated to a range from 1470 to 1650 and the other 1650 to 1950. Detective Superintendent Gradwell, on retiring, described the decision to excavate at Haut de la Garenne as being without justification and as "a complete and total waste of public money, time and effort".
Whereas with Rotherham, the police and authorities were presented with dossiers of names of suspects, dates and places of offences but did nothing about it - because the accused were Muslims and the victims 'white trash'.

You see there is a problem right there.

People should be judged upon what they actually say. Not what you might think they mean or feel they mean. That isn't a fair approach to anyone.

Everyone deserves fairness...None of us are in anyone else's head and what people say is far more important than what you think they mean.

What are you saying here?....that child abuses by white people aren't given attention??? I just don't understand how you can say that...I truly don't. The catholic church has rightly literally been smashed about over child abuse from every quarter far more than your minority clause celebre. Jimmy Saville didn't get attention??

Besides, who really gives a sh1t about the actual skin colour of a child abuser? That's a distraction...and most of the time it appears to be a distraction that your side continually bring up.

The comments in the mainstream media against Catholics within the media have been far more direct than against Muslims. I support that criticism and investigation of the connections between child abuse and the religion...Hell, you even had a Oscar winning Hollywood film...and condemn the double standard of some....who protect against the same connections being drawn against socially conservative Islamic gangs who deliberately targeted non Muslim females.

The very reasons that child abuse happened was partly the fault of 'progressive' witch hunting over racism that literally stops action. People who should have been protecting children were scared off by Muslim groups calling foul....and essentially people with your 'clause celebre' mindset who cry 'racist'.....That destroys careers.

Like I've said, I don't condemn politicians for making mistakes in interviews...left or right...I think it's a childishly overblown obsession. I haven't seen this interview and I'm not motivated by 'Gotca' interviews, and I don't think it's positive...Don't get me wrong...I see the need for keeping politicians on their toes but I think it's currently being over done

Are they a good speaker and debater? Do I like their policies? Do they have charisma that translates to votes?

That's more the game for me.

In fairness I can, or could, I haven't touched a bass in 20 odd years...

My bass is covered in dust in the cupboard too, ever since I discovered laying down bangin choons with loops and samples and sh*t.
