To take the quote out of context in isolation makes it sound like he's ready to do the off. IF that is the case then f*** off and go if you don't want to he here. But i don't think his comments should be interpreted that way

Rubbish. If he stands still he should save it, but if your view is correct, then he needs to stand closer to the post. The whole point of a wall is to block one side and the keeper covers the other. Direct FKs conceded in 2016: Swansea away last year: WH beaten on his side of the goal Makes my bloody boil. It's easy to just name games, I remember the Swansea one last year, great strike, the Payet one at West Ham looked liked going over but had a huge amount of curl on it it, just going in very top corner, most keepers would have struggled to keep it out. Your logic is flawed, as it would mean all keepers should save penalties fired straight at them, but they don't as they try to anticipate where the ball will go and get it wrong. Most shots hit straight at the keeper go in. The defence is a far bigger issue than the keepers.

A good goalie would be saving our bacon like Jules used to, nigh on every week. When was the last time we can honestly say that a keeper has played a blinder and saved our bacon? It's like some on here wouldn't mind us playing without a goalie it seems like such an unimportant position to them.

To be honest, probably Southampton at home last season (about this time) when WH made two superb saves to get us a 1-0.

I am sure Wayne is worried about getting himself dirty hence never dives to stop a ball...he would probably miss it anyway in my opinion.

Opposition fans are going to start celebrating winning free kicks around the box like they do when they win penalties with the record WH has for them. You don't need to do much research as a player to know how to beat him - its unbelievable he is still taking that step.

Pardew could do worse than put Jules in goal on Saturday. Use some of Jules' goodwill and make the match about him getting the appearances record. Just giving everyone a lift. Not arguing he is still the best keeper at the club but he does have exactly what Pardew needs right now which is 10 years of consistency and the ability to give all the supporters and atmosphere a massive lift like very few players can.

The team and our defenders would feel much better and safer with Jules between the sticks I am sure of that. He is what is needed and I am hoping the "Arrogant" one puts him in goal and not let his warped ego put Wayne or Steve in like he normally does....You never know Jules might just save him his job?????

Blaming Hennessey (and the referee as some have) is silly. The whole 11 plus the subs stand indicted for unprofessionalism. I doubt if Mandanda would have made a difference and to drop Hennessey and bring in Speroni would be crazy.

You people need to quit it with blaming the goalkeepers all the time they can't stop everything and a lot of these ones that may be able to be stopped should be blamed on the players that give away the stupid fouls and poor defending in the first place. This Mandanda has not been here long he needs time and once in front of him is sorted lets see how he does. I think people who do not even watch the full games at times or even watch football alround look at goalkeepers that are rated as the top ones it took them time plus they still make mistakes also a goalkeeper is only as good as the rest of the players around him.
