Maybe a threat to relocate to an other borough would give them a kick up the backside they need. Isnt Crystal Palace Park in the Borough of Bromley Council. Selhurst Park Bourough of Croydon?

Probably ranted a dozen times in this thread alone but every time I go through CPP (in fact this is a weekly occurrence as I now play football there) I get wound up by the state of the upper half. I mean the bottom half is a park so does what it says on the tin, but the ruins of the original Crystal Palace would probably be safer in Palmyra and the NSC is now basically a private gym. London won't want another world class athletics arena if we were happy to see all the funds directed to Stratford to the detriment of the NSC but it was a state before we even bid for the Olympics which points to certain parties lack of regard for it. To be honest I'd rather it remain as it is than Seb Coe get in to bed with Sadiq Khan and make a few quid from whatever these 2026 plans are, as would've been the case with the previous options presented around the time CPFC were first factored in proposals the site 2 years ago. It's a disgrace that any development has to be as part of a commercial package. I know someone has to pay for these things, invariably a company of considerably capital but not when it only has business interests at heart. Maybe Bromley did the right thing in doing nothing or maybe the price wasn't right. Answers on a postcard.

Understand it would still have objections from the NIMBYs but if it was something the government was pushing through the objections would have less weight vs the government than our football club alone. Huge long shot but this would be the only way we'd move to the park. We could even offer to fund the stadium redevelopment and help the government some respect back after the West Ham give away. Anyway doubt anything will come of this. But hope something does... The park is in my eyes a perfect solution to offer a beautiful home to the club for future. Even if we had to wait till 2026. Would be amazing..... Yes I know I'm just dreaming

Perhaps councils will start acting like places in the USA do for NFL. They would do literally anything to have an NFL franchise in their area. Theorising from afar, but maybe the council involved would be more interested if our club carried their name - eg "Croydon" - a name that would take their city around the world rather than "Crystal Palace" which doesn't promote the Croydon name directly? And no, I'm proposing or wanting CPFC to change their name just trying to fathom a reason for their indifference.

No chance of CPP being used for the 2026 Commonwealth Games when there is the Olympic Park elsewhere in the Capital already City of Liverpool is looking most likely to win the bid for the 2026 Commonwealth games, with Everton being the beneficiaries of the stadium a-la Man City

If as you say Palace offered to build the stadium (LDA cover costs of all other building projects as well as improved transport links)and we get assurances the stadium is ours after the games and we don't have to share it with a rugby club AND no further athletics meetings will be held there so we can rip up the track and put seats in. IF, IF, IF, It would be a great idea.

West Ham will never agree to it (as tenants they would have to).
