I dont know if its been posted yet i haven't looked through sorry if it has. from bbc sport. Former Wales striker Iwan Roberts says knowing a rival team's line-up could be a boon or a curse. Roberts' comments came in the wake of unproven allegations that Crystal Palace had Cardiff City's selection before their 3-0 win there on 5 April. "It might be good if you get the team-sheet early and you find out Gareth Bale isn't playing against you - you might sleep easily," said Roberts. "But if you find out he is playing, you might have have a sleepless night." Roberts says in a career spanning almost 20 seasons via Watford, Huddersfield, Leicester, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich, Gillingham and Cambridge United, opposition selections would often be available. "It's a hard one to explain. I don't think it gives one team an advantage because you've still got to go out and perform and win the game. "When I played it would happen. "A player would have a mate in the next team you were up against who would be out of favour and would let us know their line-up so you'd have it the night before. "It has been going on for years and years and years." But a rival club's inside information about the availability or otherwise of a world class talent such as Real Madrid's Welsh star Bale could be a double-edged sword, says Roberts. He said: "It can be an advantage or a disadvantage. "It might be better to only have [that information] an hour before kick-off to worry about it." Edited by Crystal ClearCPFC (18 Apr 2014 7.12am)

Tan and Cardiff should be fined and relegated to the welsh league, for wasting time and being pathetic, then they can play great teams like Newport YMCA, watched by 14 people, 2dogs and 4 sheep, the soppy t***.

Storm in a tea cup really and this is just Vincent Tan trying to deflect all the criticism aimed at him. All this does is make the club look more tin pot than it did before. You have got to question why the football authorities allow overseas business people to take over football clubs in this country. Nearly all of them have been found out to be criminals or from very dubious backgrounds. Can anyone say that they trust the Glaziers at Man Utd? At present we have Steve Parrish, and thank God we do. In the past we have had our fair share of problems, but now we are on a firmer footing and doing things the right way. I have got to say i fear for all the clubs that have been taken over by foreign business men that seem to have very little interest in football other than the ringing of cash tills.....

Let’s look at it from a different perspective. Ask one question. Would this thread exist if Cardiff had won that game? Answer : Sour Grapes

Maybe this is what happens when posters have no clue about football and as the team is doing so well without JW, have to find something out to spout rubbish about.
"They got his own song 'He's just too good for you', it's quite unbelievable but when you see it and he's facing up someone - I actually feel sorry for them, 'Cos he actually is" - Ian Holloway |
