'Our preparation will be exactly the same, it's difficult to tell what will happen going forward, but I can tell everybody connected with Bournemouth that my mind is 100% here at this moment.'

Hardly "till death do us part"...

from the interview:
'I am purely concentrating on Plymouth, I'm here to take training today and I will be tomorrow and I'll be taking the game Saturday so at this minute in time I think that is all I've got to say.'

The Plymouth game on Saturday will be Eddie Howe's 99th game in charge and when asked if he would be in charge for the 100th, Howe said...

'I don't want to be awkward but I just want to concentrate on the game that we've got, we're in a great position in the league, we've got a massive game against Plymouth coming up and I just want me and the players to focus on that.'

'Our preparation will be exactly the same, it's difficult to tell what will happen going forward, but I can tell everybody connected with Bournemouth that my mind is 100% here at this moment.'

Discussing the game against Plymouth and the chances of AFC Bournemouth getting into the automatic places in League One, Howe was asked if it would be a great time to stay...

Yeah, we're in a great position and doing really well, we've had back to back wins and would love to make it three, it won't be easy, but we've got good momentum at the moment and the lads are playing ever so well so I've got no desire to upset anything and I just want to continue the momentum we've got.'

When asked directly about the Crystal Palace vacancy, he was asked if leaving his home town club makes any decision harder.

Howe concluded...

'Everyone knows my feelings for Bournemouth, I don't need to say anything to that, my actions have spoke volumes for what I think previously.'

'I have tremendous affection for the club, for the fans, for the players and it would be very, very difficult to leave.'

That strikes me as the kind of very non-committal interview given by someone who hasn't yet made up his mind (but who obviously thinks that leaving might be a possibility)

Agreed - he certainly hasn't ruled out making the move to Palace. I don't think this proves anything either way, to be honest. I'd say he's planning to take charge of their game this weekend and have a think about things.

What it does do is back up the facts that we were already aware of - he is very loyal to Bournemouth and certainly will not take the decision to leave lightly. I've got nothing but respect for that - and will have no problem with whatever decision he makes.

I'm on the same wavelength too! He is certainly keeping his options open. If he was 100% staying at Bournemouth he could have said so.

its funny my mates a cherries season ticket holder and hes convinsed the deals done he bases it on nothing more than him and all his mates say it just feels different this time and people he knows are all saying they think hes going

Cherries season ticket holder here too. Sadly, much as I'd like to, I can't read that interview as a definite 'no, I'm not going'. even if he makes the decision to stay with us, always assuming he's actually being offered it of course, I think he's been very, very tempted by this one in a way he hasn't been by any of the other jobs. I think I said earlier on this thread that, as soon as I heard Burley had been sacked, this job was the one that really worried me

All true. I read it that the guy was going through a bit of a dilemma and didnt want to admit or dismiss anything just now. This guy remember is highly ethical and loyal to a high level to them. If he decided to stay i must admit i would have nothing but respect for him, but if he came then i would be delighted.

Can I just say how refreshing it is to see such a good discussion between fans of different clubs even though we are trying to nick their manager.

More constructive than having the Clowns and QPhahaha on here.

Hopefully Bournemouth will get promoted and we will have a few more educated posters on here

Following on from Syd's interview comments - he may well be waiting to see what kind of offer they want to make him.

I know if I had a comfortable job and confidence in my "stock value", I'd have no problems with making quite significant remuneration demands... and wait and see whether the new employer thinks I'm worth it.

If they don't, I haven't lost anything. If they do... ker-ching!

I'm female not a fella

Rhoys Wiggins has been fantastic. A real fans favourite from the first loan spell - we were delighted when he made it clear he wanted to join us permanently. Still, a lot of loanees do - that's the effect Eddie Howe has on players

It could well be that he has been told that he is on a short list for the job here and isn't able to comment anyway.
We know there are interviews!

Just read the article...sounds to me like a copy of a statement from a certain Mr Warnock, a week before he joined QPR......Howe doesnt say No or Yes - Just that it would be hard to leave bournemouth as he's very close to the club and fans - and that he just wants to concentrate on this weeks game.

I read that as an honest boss who wants the best for his club and who will make his decision when the time is right. The fact he said it would be hard to leave the club indicates to me that he probably will!!!

Does remind me of Warnock!!
