Rightly critical of the government however planning is down to the Civil Service who advise the government. Shouldn't they take the lions share?

Responsibility should certainly be shared.

It’s why we hold enquiries. If nothing ever went wrong they wouldn’t be needed. Hard lessons are being learned.

No comment on the fact that some of the points raised were mentioned by various posters who were told to wait for the report. Here's the report. Maybe they were right all along.

I'm sick of hearing about this. Pandemics are not very nice; get over it. FFS one woman on the news yesterday has attended every day of the enquiry because "I want answers as to why my [94 year old] mother died". Err..she died because sadly she was caught up in a global pandemic and then because she was 94. Roughly translated as: "She was murdered by the Conservative Party".

When politicians say "lessons have been learned" or similar words, I presume you believe them?

Oxford study criticises government decision to vaccinate children.

[Link]

This was against the initial advice of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation who....if I remember correctly...they asked to think again using altered criteria.....which is basically a way of saying come back with the decision we want.
