Liz Cheney deselected in Wyoming primary. I'm surprised no one has posted this already. Liz Cheney was absolutely smashed by the Republican voters losing by at least 32% to her pro Trump rival. So bad was her impending defeat that she urged Democrat voters to register as Republican to support her. I bet that went down well with the GOP membership. Imagine Sunak pleading with Labour voters to support him in the Tory Party leadership contest. Still all is not lost according to the BBC she still remains a major threat to Trump . I think they are as deluded as she is. Her career is over unless she switched parties.

They let their own genie from the bottle by caning trump and not finding fault or even the column inches about the antifa riots. Painted themselves into the proverbial corner so to speak. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch. Also they are stopping dedicated uk news from next year to replace it with world wide news. Maybe to support the dems a bit more !

This may be helpful to understand how America got into the mess it's in over the last hundred years or so. Very balanced in my opinion and not pro either party. Napolitana knows what he is talking about. Edited by W12 (18 Aug 2022 10.13am) Edited by W12 (18 Aug 2022 10.16am)

Liz Cheney is an honourable politician who sees through Trump and is devoting herself to ensuring he never sees the inside of the WHH again and is brought to justice, whatever the cost to her own career. Much like our own brave politicians did when opposing Johnson over his "oven-ready" Brexit deal. It is suggested Cheney will also stand to be the Republican candidate if Trump stands. Not because she has any chance of success, but solely to divert a few votes away from him of those who have also seen the light. Good on her I say. I hope she is given a job by who-ever becomes the next POTUS, just as long as it isn't Trump.

The bloke suffers from the most clear and demonstrable case of Trump derangement syndrome I have ever witnessed. I've given up with him.

I think they are as deluded as she is. Her career is over unless she switched parties. Liz Cheney decided to not be a craven liar, con artist, violence inspiring, dishonest, corrupt and crooked politician like the kind of idiots who are claiming the FBI planted evidence at Trumps gaudy palace in Florida. She retained her principles, and it cost her a seat in congress. Kevin McCarthy, Moscow Mitch, Gosar, Gaetz and all the liars and cheats, probably never had principles in the first place. Each one would sell their own mother to stay in office. A right wing idiot recently got shot after turning up to an FBI field office with an AR15. Lies from the afore mentioned cast of characters, plus king liar himself, whipped him into a frenzy that got him killed. Sounds a bit like Jan 6 doesn’t it, lie after lie to ignorant people and they turn violent. Don’t shed a tear for Liz Cheney, she will be just fine, and will still have a role in the game that will be the 2024 presidential election.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

As some one noted, if Trump wanted to hide anything he should have stored it on Hunter Biden's laptop, The Big Guy not letting anyone go near that. The Dems seem to be uncontrollably terrified of Trump running again. I don't agree with some of what Trump did in office but the actions of the Dems to find a way to bar him from running are disgraceful. They keep harming their own cause by such actions as the FBI raid. so terrified and dumb, not a great combination. You can disagree with what Trump says but you have to defend his right to say it. Sadly, many are of the view that free speech is fine as long as it fit their own agenda and narrative, this applies generally not to Trump in particular. The cult of anti Trump recruits easily from the ranks of the band wagon jumpers and weak minded, as does any cult. Echoes of the cult of JK Rowling haters, if you don't join you will be considered a bad person US politics has been corrupt on all sides sine the birth of the Nation. The Dems are no better than the Republicans and vice versa. To avoid confusing some, the above are my opinions and therefore not facts. Edited by HKOwen (19 Aug 2022 1.50am)

She famously said that Trump's announcement he would run for POTUS would be the highlight of his campaign and has hated being proved so wrong She also at the time of the Manchester bombing said Europe needs to get used to such attacks.i.e, just accept them as the new normal.
