I think extremists are fairly similar on all sides. The difference being that Leftist extremism has somehow become acceptable. I blame Hitler.

I guess that's the point at which we'd disagree then. I do not want the majority of politicians in the UK to be rampant capitalists. I'd prefer a bit more balance and luckily for us we're allowed to vote to have our own small say on the matter.

So I'm struggling to see your point. I was making the point that there's cases of people on both sides equally guilty of mislabelling other groups through ignorance, intolerance or lack of understanding (and often a combination of the 3) in attempt for their own political gain/ego. Sometimes it's more of the latter. Edited by samprior (07 Jun 2019 1.45pm)

Yep, so many on the left are never taught the socialism part of national socialism because it doesn't fit with the narrative. Yep, Hitler said the easiest to flip to Fascism were the communists because similar to them they wanted to bring the current order down. Edited by Stirlingsays (07 Jun 2019 1.49pm)

Surely you don't want people who don't believe in a capitalistic system in charge of a capitalistic country like this? How's that going to work?

I want a mixture as there's good to be found on most sides of the political divide. In my head I hope for a future system based on Green Capitalism... Just need to get my manifesto written up

On her Twitter profile, that protester describes herself as an "Intersectional Feminist, LGBT+, accused crazy cat lady, body positive, striving for equality." She runs a private company which provides 'clinical services' to the NHS. But she was protesting against Trump and a potential US trade deal that could lead to privatisation of the NHS! I read about this,oh the irony.
