If that’s what you think, then you clearly don’t rate him half as much as some of us do. I genuinely think he’s good enough to be a champions league player. Whether we wanna admit it or not, that’s where the best players play. Had it not been for awful development he’d of been playing it a long time ago regularly. His natural ability has always been sensational. I don’t think he’s going, which I’m delighted about. I think he wants one more season to try and take his game one step further. Certainly risky when some of the most attacking & free flowing clubs in the country are supposedly desperate to sign him and a lot can happen in a year, but you won’t hear me complaining about it. I just personally find it quite ironic that some Palace fans claim to worship him down to the ground but simultaneously doubt he has what it takes to play for a top club. If it’s simply a case of desperately wanting him to stay then I think we’re all in the same boat, but that’s all it is, none of this looking out for his best interests BS. Remember quite a few doubting him in his first few seasons back at Palace and even saying Bolasie was a better player, so this unconditional love from all quarters has only come through him proving just how good he is & the notion that he can only achieve something in a team that so far has done nothing but survive in the Premier League because elsewhere he won’t be loved is quite frankly an insult to Wilf, in my opinion. I don’t want him to go. I’d love him to retire here but ultimately, whatever happens, it’s upto him. And I don’t think anyone should begrudge any choice he makes this summer or summers in the future. Edited by Mstrobez (13 May 2018 9.44pm) Comes June 2022 you are absolutely right, up till then the club has a big say in it as he has a (massive) contract here.

I was filled with dread with all our horrific injuries, the spate of games against the top teams etc etc, a period when we went 7 games without a win and saw us slip down the table, the players on the bench, the fear of further injuries etc etc.Yes I was deeply concerned about our propects hence my negativity.I went through real angst I can assure you. I never had us as going down before the season started but my view changed later on. Willo - you've been on here with your doom and gloom comments of us going down since forever, so I find this very difficult to believe..!! If you ever had that inner belief you've never posted it on here..!! Even now you're telling us if we lose Zaha - we'll go down next season and this season only finished yesterday. Seriously give it a rest - it's all getting rather boring. COYP

Edited by thechaddyboy (06 Jul 2018 7.56pm) Just cos he hasn’t signed the contract doesn’t mean he’s gonna force a move.. But as for who would pay that wage and his transfer fee...? Take your pick from Liverpool and City I’d imagine wouldn’t blink at it.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle If this is true its because of our apparent lack of ambition with no new players on the horizon. Probably got wind of Ed Aarons tweet that we have no money so possibly another season of struggle. Roy possibly revving his car up and no more firefighter bosses out there
