There are many decent Republicans. They are not though currently in positions which mean they have any chance of being chosen. The GOP is now dominated by its need to keep the Trump base onside. One can only hope that as soon as he is finally consigned to history, however that happens, they are able to loosen the ties. For the moment we are unlikely to get anything other than a Trump imitator. Not even Trump-light. I’ve got a feeling Trump will be dead by the end of the year if not the mid-terms. They cannot afford the risk of him being re-elected. Heart attack or bullet in the head. The deep state seem more and more desperate in their attempts to discredit / jail / disable him.

Jan 6th, FBI raiding his home, stating he is running again, sadly you may be correct though and there will be no witnesses!

This is solely the law plodding its course, blind to the politics. It's worked well for him. He is back in the headlines, posing as a victim, energising his base and collecting "donations". His GOP rivals have been forced to support him, and the Dems success in passing their climate change bill has gone under the radar. You have to acknowledge a clever marketing strategy. Something which ought to have no place in politics, but, sadly, now does. Makes you wonder what Dominic Cummings is up to these days, or if he has been seen around Trump Tower.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
