Grassroots Labour members don't think so. This labour grassroots theory is rubbish. You full well know that Corbyn is justifying his power on the thousands of affiliate entryist a, not full members of the party, who are mostly Trot Unionists. It's a complete illusion.

Have you spoken to the public about Corbyn as I have whilst manning Nut stalls in the past few weeks. Ask them to go beyond the Corbyn is unelectable rhetoric and they can't explain why. Discuss with them what Labour's policies are and a surprisingly large majority of them say, I didn't know that. I agree with it. Yes he does need to get the message across better, but the policies are rarely reported in the media if at all. (Edited due to typos) Edited by nickgusset (26 Jun 2016 2.21pm)

DEFLECTION. EVADE. DEFLECTION. Is that meant to be read in a dalek voice? One minute you say that there are hardly any trots, now you are saying that the largest party membership of any party are all trots. Edited by nickgusset (26 Jun 2016 2.37pm)

This vote was overwhelmingly about immigration in the end. It is a shame that the Labour party probably won't be able to remove someone who has proved himself a pretty useless leader, it is in nobody's interests to have a weak opposition. Corby seems to me pretty selfish, he is so 'principled' that he fails to fully grasp he is there to represent the people. Whatever people feel about the vote, it is final. I don't think any party that stands a chance of government is going to stand on a platform of re-entering the EU. However it may be that the divorce settlement may not be to the taste of some of those that wanted to leave so we shall wait and see how they react when details become clearer. Corbyn will be re-elected leader by an even bigger majority if anyone is stupid enough to stand against the most popular leader (in terms of votes in a leadership election) in the party's history. I think most members will say it's only fair he has a chance of standing as leader in a general election and will be angry at a vote being forced.

They may not wish to see a person elected to government that doesn't have the faith of his own party. That's a guess. I know f*** all.
