No one is talking about precedence. Just equality. Just because some were hesitant about vaccination doesn't mean they don't have rights either.

Of course they have rights. They had the right to make choices. No one forced them in one direction or the other. What they didn’t have was the unfettered right to do whatever they wanted to do. That only exists where anarchy lives.

Alongside rights come responsibilities. You cannot have one and ignore the other.

Rights don't consist of those you choose to grant others. The same way you might think everyone should vote but they can't be forced to. And they fact they don't doesn't lead to the collapse of democracy.

Neither of us grant the other rights. We all do that for everyone. We also demand responsibilities. Via the law.

Some countries do have mandatory voting, so it can be done. Democracy doesn’t collapse if some abstain but would if many did.

But you want to deny others' rights because they don't fulfil what you see as their responsibilities. No matter. The government didn't agree and it was their decision after all.

Not at all. People have the right to choose. They don’t have a right to do whatever they like. None of us have such a right.

The government does agree with that. It’s why they make laws.

The difference being that anti-vaxxers didn't have such determination to proselytise.

Not sure that’s true. There are some pretty determined anti-vaxxers around determined to spread misinformation and encourage non compliance.

Just look at the way some have monetised fear on YouTube and other video platforms.

I'm pretty sure they would point out that the drug companies have monetised the situation more efficiently.

Business needs the profit motive to respond as quickly and effectively as they did. We would not have achieved the result we did with Covid without it.

We don’t need the profit motive in the hands of avaricious scumbags trying to get rich from the misfortune of others. They are no better than black marketeers in wartime.

Indeed. We don't need profiteers making hay out of these situations.

Yep, I saw a document supposedly from the US CDC. When I checked the data it had been changed as had the headings. The final heading was 'seriously affected by Vaccination'. This had been changed to Deaths!

I challenged them but my comment was deleted!

It was later removed but the damage had been done.

Another one stated that thousands had been made sterile by the vaccine when at that time it had only been given to those over 60!!!!

The main man behind the anti vax movement is the tw@t that claimed the MMR jab was causing autism. He makes millions in donations.

He was the "Doctor" supporting the case in the USA and the UK against the makers of the MMR jab. The case collapsed when it was realised that there was no scientific evidence to back up the claim. But again the damage was done with millions believing it.

Hence the rise in MMR cases.

My Daughter has a friend who is an AV and various ailments were rife in the local schools due to the number of unvaccinated kids.

She told my daughter she was really worried. I told her to say 'If only there was a vaccine your daughter could have'

I'm currently employed in the Social Services sector. There seems to be some prevalent sickness amongst workers who've had covid vaccines. Not all of them, but a high percentage nonetheless (I would guess around 50% of those vaccinated and in middle-age seem to be highly susceptible to ailments and fatigue.
Obviously, working in the Care sector, this puts limitations on the services we offer.
Most of the workers seem to think there's a link with Covid Vaccines and prevalent sickness/conditions.

Obviously the sample group is miniscule, and no real conclusions can be drawn. But therein lies the big problem. Monitoring of after effects of those vaccinated was conveniently not undertaken

No monitoring, no data,....no liability,...no evidence

I disengage, I turn the page.
