In fairness, it's not like you get confirmed statements from the club when we don't sign a player or a manager, so we don't know the whole story with Favre. Maybe he'd asked for something which we'd initially rejected but on reflection and discussion with the Americans the owners have changed their minds - maybe the yanks found some money under the bed? I seem to remember Pulis initially turning us down before eventually signing (again, this was rumours at the time).
