Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

My best guess is with the open secret ref Southampton sacking their manager, our possible recruits are hedging bets and have been waiting for that role to become available.

Hull appointed Slutsky who has managed Russia and also CSKA Moscow who he got the group stage of the 'Champions League'. Yes I totally understand your assertion relating to "Hedging bets".I happen to believe that whilst London is a pull, Southampton FC are far more attractive a proposition than we are at this current time.We are not as "Sexy" as them !

Maybe Willo but I've heard they have had to pay massive compensation to Puel.

Puel who was sacked after 1 season had a 3 year contract.I've no news as to the scale of his compensation but there would have been a severance package agreed. 'Director of football' Les Reed keeps detailed information about a whole plethora of foreign coaches and Puel was appointed after a protracted and exhaustive selection process but alas it didn't work out for Puel.

For me it's Pellegrino - Dyche would be my second choice. Not seen anything in the media regarding Burnley rejecting any approach etc etc. Dyche is under contract to them so there would have to be compensation agreed if indeed Burnley would allow him to leave. All very quiet on this front, thus far !
