Depends if Nelson wants to join Palace of course. Agreed, but if you are loan material only which is probably what is going to happen for the next two seasons then you might as well go on a permanent and look to build your value that way. There is no substitute for playing at the top level, look how much RLC came on playing for us.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle How about we take Nelson as part ex with a buy back option. So in other words Zaha goes for £45m plus Nelson. Arsenal have a buy back option of £30m after 2 years. Way better than a loan as it stiffs Man U. Edited by dreamwaverider (25 Jul 2019 6.10am)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Whatever happens we need to be bringing in a goal scoring striker NOW. Benteke is simply not good enough. He is lazy he is a pain to watch the way he is constantly gesturing with his arms every time he fails to deliver, which is virtually every time the ball comes near him. Wickham will struggle for the rest of his career and at best is a 5 goal a season man. We’ve got the cash, why on earth do our guys dither?

I love these big sweeping statements with nothing to back them up. You're literally guessing. Wickham could start most games next season and bag 20 goals. Who knows. As for CB, it's an ongoing debate. He clearly is good enough, because we've seen him do it before (both at palace and Villa). The trick is getting him back to the form he's capable of. Or playing in a way that suits him. Or getting rid if we're not going to play that way.

Whilst I agree we should not be selling him for anything less than what we want, he could quite conceivably turn up for practice, start in games but put in minimal effort and fulfill his contractual obligations. There is a fine line between sticking to your principles and cutting your nose of to spite your face.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Arsenal aren't getting into the Champs League any time soon but they're apparently an option for Zaha so why not Everton? Everton have just generated £50m in sales from selling Gueye and Lookman so would definitely have the funds to meet our valuation if they choose to do so. Also they are in need of a winger. Zaha may look at Everton and see that they have more of a chance of progression than Arsenal who are now just a sad reflection of the club that was once competing for top honours.
