Walking the site with a laser rangefinder, secret service are watching him & do nothing. The building he climbed up on was occupied inside by the secret service. Roof was too dangerous for secret service to be on despite it being a 2" pitch - the roof they positioned the sniper team on was a considerably steeper pitch so nonsense. Crooks father had contacted the police because his son had not returned from a trip to the shooting range. Sniper team were apparently aware of him on the roof. Follow on from my assessment of the shooting - the sniper team we see in the video didn't shoot Crooks, it was the other team who had a clear line of sight, I haven't seen any footage of that team. I also found out this morning that chat gpt will tell you the ingredients to make explosives, the only thing missing are the quantities of ingredients needed.

Here you go - straight from the horse's mouth, as it were "The most detailed medical information yet has come from Trump’s former White House doctor, Rep. Ronny Jackson of Texas, who said he examined Trump shortly before the start of the Republican National Convention and said on a podcast that the bullet had taken off a chunk of Trump’s ear. “He was lucky,” Jackson said on The Benny Show. “I mean, it was far enough away from his head that there was no concussive effect from the bullet, and it just took the top of his ear off.” Jackson said Trump’s wound was initially bleeding heavily but that he “will be OK.”
Edited by becky (18 Jul 2024 3.27am) So it was Jackson who applied the dressing! That explains it then! Jackson is, shall we say, a controversial clinician. Actually much more a Trump sycophant than a doctor. If you were Trump and you wanted someone to engage in a bit of theatrics who would you turn too? Jackson is not even Trump’s current doctor, or part of the medical team who would have been in attendance, or working at the medical centre he was taken to. He is a congressman. Yes, it explains quite a lot!

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

There is going to have to be a major effort to keep Trump alive because this event has created a huge level of distrust. The type and level of investigation that is taken will either allay those doubts or accelerate them. Biden's 100 percent backing of this security chief who has spoken nonsense on the slope of the roof being a health and safety reason most definitely does not achieve that.

Now his attempts to avoid justice stick in the craw of every law abiding person. Quoting anything out of its context is meaningless. It was not addressing who was responsible for shooting Trump. It was addressing the division in US society that has created the circumstances when such things are possible. This is the WHOLE comment:- “I woke this morning to this news. It’s shocking but unsurprising given the divisive nature of current US politics. Opinions clearly differ on who and what is responsible for the divisiveness. Some Republicans have rushed to blame the Democrats, including Biden, for it, saying their attitude towards Trump is entirely to blame. Unsurprisingly others disagree. Me included. I believe it’s primarily Trump’s responsibility caused by his attitude and behaviour in the last 10 years, which reached the bottom in 2020 with his attempt to deny democracy. Now his attempts to avoid justice stick in the craw of every law abiding person. I hope this sends enough shockwaves through the USA to stop it, but I fear it will make it worse.” I was reacting to the fact that something like this had happened and commenting on the poisonous political nature of American politics since Trump arrived on the scene, which culminated in him trying to overturn the 2020 election. In no way was I suggesting anyone but the shooter was to blame for the actual event. People need to take responsibility for their own actions whatever the circumstances or provocation. He made me do it is not a defence. I trust that this is now clearly understood. It ought to have been anyway. Trump has promised a less abuse laden speech at the convention and a more thoughtful one, so perhaps he too is acknowledging things have gone too far. We will see. So I await the retraction.

Apparently Trump walking around with a bandaged ear after being shot there is a big deal. What is wrong with these people?

What a pathetic snowflake. An entirely reasonable conclusion from the tenor of his posting by Hrolf. I didn't say it myself because I know what a drama queen he is. Anyone who has been reading him on Trump since he turned up knows exactly what he's about.

Crooks had an encrypted phone so likely he was communicating with someone, I'd bet on this not being over. An interesting morning though, Biden now has COVID after previously saying he'd step down if he gets sick. Tenacious D have split for being evil c***s Democrats are psychotic.
