There's usually one club that hits form in the run in and pulls away from the relegation scrap their fans thought was going to be a near thing .

With respect I don't believe we can 'Airbrush' extenuating circumstances, one can present them for consideration and debate whilst of course recognising the challenges we face at the present time.

One might state "Excuses", others might view them as "Reasons" etc etc.In the final analysis we are where we are and let us hope that our key players play a pivotal part to the end of the season.

I personally don't believe Parish wants to sack Roy. I think it's a difficult situation for him with a man he considers to be a club legend and he will hold off until the very last chance to sack him.
If he is sounding out other managers, as per the press suggests, then why would anyone want to come in pre Chelsea? Wait until after that game and then you have Everton away and Burnley at home, 2 much more winnable fixtures and with Eze, Olise and Guehi all closer to fitness. We will be a more attractive prospect then.

There's a few comments of bad luck for Roy, given the injuries to key players but I don't buy this. Roy should be sacked because anyone who has any experience in football can see that this season Schlupp is nowhere near it and should not be on the pitch as much as he is, regardless of injuries. Will Hughes is never a number 10. Joel Ward is an accident waiting to happen at RB. Not playing Franca, Ahamada, Rak-Sakyi (when fit) or Ozoh enough. Bringing on young players at 2-0 down and then criticising them afterwards saying they aren't ready. Telling the fans we are lucky to have what we have and should be grateful for the dross football we have to sit through week in/week out.

I love Roy and what he has achieved at this club but we are sleep walking to relegation. Roy Hodgson should be a part of Crystal Palace's story but at the moment, Crystal Palace is part of Roy Hodgson's story and that HAS to change.

In my humble estimation whether we win a significant amount of games going forward will be dependant on our key players on the field on a regular basis.

We will all have 'reasons' as to why we in our current plight, some will aim their animus at Mr Hodgson,some at the Board/Parish, some a combination of both.
I for one will not gallivant down the path of apportioning culpability towards the manager or the hierarchy, I will leave that debate to others and peruse with interest !

What makes Hodgson a ‘club legend’??? He has developed nobody, given us dire football but kept us in the Prem a couple times. SFW

It is the "perfect storm" for Steve Parish and options look like they are very limited. Hiring a new (proven) manager now, will be very challenging, but you never know. The other option is the one he used last year - would Big Sam be in his mind?

We should remind ourselves that Hodgson failed to keep up Watford, their football was dire and that was when Pedro was in the team. Of course BS also failed at WBA ..... but they had no talent
