Given the form of the now few teams below and around us and our current 9 or so point cushion over the bottom two, I believe we have as good a chance of staying up as any. It is only half way through the season and based on the normal survival mark of 36 points, which I’m sure is too high for this season, we probably need another 3-4 wins and a few draws to survive. Does anyone think that Roy and the current squad can’t achieve that? Changing a manager at any stage comes at a cost, so far better to spend any available funds on players not new managerial contracts for the likes of the ‘Coopers’, If Roy were to walk away, or is shown the door, which I hope won’t be the case, let Mac see us through ‘till the end of the season. The performances against Manure, Citeh, the Spuds and in part, the Weed and Scousers, I believe is enough to give us confidence in our ability to stay up. Meantime, a few loanees, with options, wouldn’t go amiss. My messages to Roy would be to use the the full squad available. If players are on the bench then they are good enough to play, especially the promising youngsters, if only to keep fresh legs on the pitch. Oh, and get Ray off the bench and use the technical area and start coaching instead of scratching your chin! COYP

That’s why the manager is usually standing up and the coaches can’t really coach during a game.

And it should be an automatic sending to the stands if they step onto the pitch even once. And VAR could spend minutes checking it. 'On the line" is in!

One suspects that VAR would be determining whether the transgression was a 'Clear and obvious error'. Edited by Willo (29 Dec 2023 2.27pm)

I think Brentford fans must be a bit nervous right now. Forest H Can't see many points there to be honest!

Forest will be a massive game for both teams. A Forest away win would set alarm bells off that’s for sure. Still, we have our own problems and awkward fixtures to worry about.

That run you posted is hellish for anyone let alone a team coming off the back of 7 defeats in 8..!! As for us - think we will be OK so long as we avoid any more long term injuries to key players and get a minimum of a “starting CDM” in the window - love to see a right back too..!! COYP
