Is Woke finally dying

The Black Death was racist in 1348 apparently (ironic, given its name). Actually, the plague wasn't. It was medieval Londoners. "The research concluded that higher death rates amongst people of colour and those of black African descent was a result of the "devastating effects" of "premodern structural racism" in the medieval world." A valuable piece of research, for sure.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Wasn't sure which thread this belongs to so I'll try here. Climate change was to blame for a fan's death at the Taylor Swift concert in Rio at the weekend apparently. But, the columnist says: "I believe in big music events, and giving everyone access to the artists they love. Music, especially performed live, is a source of joy and social connection, which is more important than ever in these divided and fraught times. But we’re living in the climate era, and as Swift sings in Mastermind: “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” How about stopping flying all over the world with the huge entourage in your world tours then? That would help the planet. But then, "everyone [should have] access to the artists they love" shouldn't they? And the artists wouldn't earn their millions either. Best everyone else deals with it, eh? And blame the Governments.

As for this person's selective defence of who to blame for the 'climate'.....it's the same old same old.
