Our leaders do not do what would be best for the people of the UK. If they did, we would be fracking, mining coal, building nuclear power stations along with pumping billions into research for effective alternatives so that the UK is totally self-dependent for its power needs. Ditto with the Germans, ditto with the Yanks and so on. And this was happening, or rather moves towards it. Especially in the US but the UK was making progress as well. Then it all came to a halt? Why? Why would any political leadership want their nation to be dependent on foreign-controlled fuels? Makes no sense unless you think your leadership has been utterly corrupted. As the Wests has been.

This short article is very informative. Basically The 8 years when these two regions have been separate from Ukraine have been too costly for Russia so it is taking direct charge. As I previously posted Russia is scaring the West into accepting the loss of two statelets instead of going to full on war in Ukraine. They will win this round.

Still interesting article.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

As for the 'sovereign' stuff, as I said Nato already did this itself in Europe in Serbia....Nato was responsible for somewhere between 500 civilians deaths and thousands fighting that war. Ok, look I'm not going to argue with my own side. If you think that it's light versus dark then sure go ahead. I'll just side with the parts of Ukraine than aren't Russian. Our existence is at risk, but not primarily because of Putin. The existential threat is far more likely about migration, not bombs. The comparison with Hitler does not and was not intended to stand close scrutiny. The obvious similarity is a dictator invading neighbours, with sympathy from some sections of the British
