They have invested enormously, the set up, the tax-free inducements, all the usual, the money up-front, to start another pharmaceutical money-spinner for the super-rich. They cannot do anything about UK vaccines produced here for the UK market, but they can if EU vaccines were diverted to the UK before. So inspectors will be in there, and there is breaching the contract etc. The firm clearly did not have the ability to supply what they agreed to, it was just capitalist greed. Pharmaceutical firms have a special place on my hate list. I imagine I have cancer and the only available remedy is from Roche at a million pounds a lozenge. It is no good, and I die beyond my means.....
I beleive they have reduced prduction temporarily to add more infrastructure to produce more. Sensible to increase capacity early doors as in the medium term more will be available so more lives saved. I doubt their estimate was wrong originally on what they could make but saw this as a good move. If you hate them so much maybe swerve the jab for someone who will appreciate it! And maybe your family could join in if it's that bad.
