In fairness. Exeter where at the bottom of League 2 when he broke in the first team, it's a massive jump to championship football and it took 3 years of regularly playing to make him the player he is today. If we signed him a year ago then he wouldn't have got any game time and wouldn't have developed. Villa are a massive club with the potential and ambition to go a lot further than us. I'm still not really too sure why we are chasing another left winger.

Maybe if Wilf went to PSG this would make more sense? (I’d be happy with this btw)

Felipe Anderson in advanced talks with Porto. Any guesses where Benrahma will end up?

Different sort of player but shows what Brentford produce, if we don’t get Benrahma we will regret it, believe me. If he wants £60k a week pay it. We have been happy to pay players like Wickham for doing f all and of course Benteke, we were stupid enough to extend their contracts as well!

If we must play 4-4-2 then play him left midfield, push Eze inside, drop a defensive midfielder and take the game to the opposition!

West Ham tried to get a defender in on transfer deadline day. They now have £30 million burning a hole in there pocket, and Anderson has gone on loan. They haven't conceded in there last 2 games, so contrary to what has been said about a deal done, for Benhrama coming to Palace, it hasn't, and I believe he will now end up at that lot.

100% agree. No one is saying we have to go that way against every team, but at least give ourselvesthe option of being progressive. Originally posted by The_postman
