Hodgson to stay for me.
Seen some of the best football played under Roy whilst our defensive record is the best in the league outside the top 4.
Our only issue is scoring goals and it’s no surprise considering we’ve not had an out and out striker for months. Yet we still create opportunities at home and most definitely away, it’s not Roy’s fault Zaha can’t put away a 1 on 1 against Watford or worse Mcarthur misses a tap in and this has be continuing theme throughout the season. He’s not perfect but none of our players are either, otherwise they’d be at a bigger club. We’re Palace a team striving for mid table.
His persistence with Schlupp as an impact sub is frustrating but he brought on Wickham and Meyer and they combined for the 3rd goal. Let’s hope this gives him something to think about for Spurs next weekend.

People calling for Wagner leaves my mind boggled. Took Huddersfield up with a negative goal difference and continued playing the most boring defensive football for 2 more seasons before giving up.. No thanks.

i was one of those saying Wagner only if Roy goes,no money championship side and he got the best out of them, didnt they batter us before Wilf scored, also 2 mangers come to mind who everyone wanted to keep but played defensive football,Pullis,Big Sam ,

so going back to Roy he hasnt had a fit striker or a striker inform from the start,so who ever comes in has the same probs, just like other teams in the bottom 14 we are looking for that striker who will get 15+ goals a season, not easy

I wasn’t one of those fans wanting Allardyce, we had the players to play better football and Roy is proving that. Pulis was what we needed at the time so was more disappointed he left. Watching the highlights again, the first goal we scored was brilliant, worked out from the back and obviously set up brilliantly by wilf, we just wouldn’t get that with either Pulis or Allardyce and it’s proof how much we’ve improved as a team under Roy. The 3rd was lovely also.

Wagner, may be a success or he could continue to play the dull football he did with Huddersfield. We don’t know yet as he’s only shown one way of playing. Let’s see how Roy gets on with two fit out and out strikers, could be a very good second half of the season and hopefully he proves all ththe doubters wrong.

Given his importance in proceedings today that kinda proves further that you were talking out of your trousers.

I'm really torn about Roy.
Pros.
Team are playing for him.
Sets us up very well, so we always have a chance.
Very level headed.
Not gonna storm off if we don't buy enough or the players he wants. Which if you believe the anti Parish brigade is why TP and SA left.

Cons.
Think he uses his squad very poorly.
Game management has IMO let us down regularly this season. Subs and timing an issue.
Set plays have been dire.
Plays too safe at home.
Very loyal, but that loyalty could lead to injuries in the run in.

In his defence he is working with a squad assembled by Pulis, Warnock, Pardew, Big Sam and FdB. I'm sure he's wanted to bring in players and I'm sure if we could we would, but FFP on the wages appears to be the problem. Plus he can't score the open goals we've missed all season long.

So all things considered, I'm just not sure what's for the best?

It's not going to happen at the moment, but fresh legs are much needed. Roy only has a plan A, and there is nothing else. I appreciate that he doesn't have that much to work with, but some of these players are on 130k a week. Run around. Work hard. Let's not have 8 defensive players at home. First 11 are pretty decent, but being used wrongly. Look at Manure, fresh outlook, players enjoying their roles.

Reasons to be cheerful, in no particular order...

4 unexpected points from trips to Manchester

Only team to score three against liverpool all season.

Goals beginning to come from everyone apart from centre forwards who are largely there in decoy capacity only.

Already played Liverpool and Chelsea twice.

Goal difference not bad at all

Our manager is a Palace fan.

AWB is great and has single footedly brought the slide tackle back in fashion

Delete / add as you seem fit
