After 16 games last season which most considered the 'never to come back from' start to a season, we had 11 points.

This season after the same number of games we have 12 points. Only problem with that is that last year we then went on a run of one loss, two draws and 4 wins in seven matches. Unfortunately I cannot see us doing that again, which means realistically we are in a worse place than we were last year. Hard to believe I know!

The only thing about this year is that the league has a lot of poor teams in it. Are there 3 worse than us? We should not be relying on that to help us, but we might have to unless something changes.

Yes, the only thing giving me hope at the moment is the fact that we're not yet in the bottom 3. If we can keep it that way until January and have a good striker lined up... (I'll stop dreaming now)

We've spent 6 years circling the drain. We've spent money not always wisely and we have had some highs and plenty of lows.

As a Palace fan of over 50 years this has all been very predictable and very "Palace". I hope we don't go down but if we do we've no one to blame but ourselves.

Still I would rather the roller coaster that is Palace than support a club which has no ambitions and never does anything.

One thing I hope all palace fans can agree on:

It's never boring being a Palace fan.

Hodgson or the Board, In my eyes is a no brainer, Hodgson is doing the best he can with no recognised striker available and a poor Bench, The root of the problem is SP, It can't be every manager that has managed us in the last 6 years, I think the buck stops with Parish and his poor transfer/wage dealings, He is porobably the worst Chairman in the Premier.

We all know the lack of goals has been apparent for nearly 2 years and what has he done, Nothing apart from search the bargain basement of Strikers, And I am sure it will be the same in January

Both - Hodgson isn't good enough and is not the man to take us forward. Too rigid in tactics, little imagination, reluctance to give youngsters a chance, reluctance to bring on fresh legs when we're struggling etc. We don't close teams down enough as shown yesterday. But the Board (well, SP) appointed him and we have got through far too many managers in his time, some of whom have walked out on us for unknown reasons.

An additional hand dryer installed in each of the toilets & fragrant soap maybe?

A stockbroker urged me to buy a stock that would triple its value every year. I told him, at my age, I don't even buy green bananas!
