Too many glass-half-empty posters on this thread. It wasn’t a game we had to win - it was a game we couldn’t afford to lose.

We were excellent second half and we'll win enough games if we play like that again How do you think they scored their goal. Someone (our defenders) lost their man and Newcastle scored!

Credit Io RB’s Newcastle. For a change no one tried to kick Wilf out of the game. What a scintillating talent he is. Most exciting player in the Prem.

I can’t see how so many of you are being so positive about today. We needed 3 points and we did not do nearly enough to get them. Having to rely on a weak penalty to get us a draw. It’s crap. That game could easily have been 3-1 to us, and that is without the blatant second penalty decision not going our way, so I disagree with your fundamental premise. Second, I don’t see anyone really claiming it was a good result. Most people are disappointed with the draw. However, they can see that the team really turned around a poor start to the game. That is a positive, as that attitude will be crucial in determining whether we stay up. Last, three losses in the last 17 league games speaks for itself. We lost to Spurs, and Arsenal twice. Losing would be crap, an unlucky draw certainly is not. That being said, what the heck was Kelly doing at the corner where they scored? It’s not the first time he’s failed to mark.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

We’re way past drawing positives from games now. After the start we made to the season we have to be doing more than drawing positives from games just to make have a chance of staying up. Might sound harsh but it’s true.

The relegation pack is so tight, we are right in the mix. Just get a feeling its going down to the West Brom game against Pardew.

They crowded us and it was a bit like an under 9's game with everyone in a tight space, not being able to get the ball out. Them making 3 subs upfield and us only 1 in defence was possibly a factor. Our bench was good for defending with only Chungy and Sorloth to attack. Get used to that.

There are too many people who just can't handle disappointment and have to sound out - often in really unpleasant terms. Seems strange that they should follow football. Take up knitting - it would be far less stressful for you.

Spammers draw and this one today were six points thrown away imo , we can’t survive on draws alone (obviously) also that game today reminded me of Roy’s earlier games at home where no matter what we did just couldn’t finish our chances once again very frustrating

Good point onwards and upwards. Palace's recent record at Goodison isn't too bad and Everton are so unpredictable maybe we can build on today's result at Everton on Saturday. Given how many injuries we have had recently I think to have only lost to Arsenal in the league is not bad all things considered. Would like to have seen the new striker given a run out for the last ten minutes.
