That Dwight Gayle bloke at Newcastle looks useful. Certainly plays his heart out. Maybe we should sign him?

*Takes cover from the Gayle is useless brigade...

please Parish, if you're reading this, post it there. We're disgusted with this and only points won immediately will win us round.

And Phil Neville is right. If Luka demands he takes it, there may be more unnecessary pressure he wouldn't have had and blame if he misses it. Benteke, you've acted a like a cvnt and only some villa type performances are going to win us over because you've relaxed on your life changing wages you w&nker(which you have chance of redeeming yourself, you cvnt).

I actually don't think I've ever been angrier with a Palace player. Yes, players make mistakes, they may even lose their s*** when Zaha gets fouled for the 100th time and the ref does SFA about it, and once in a blue moon they may even get suspended or sent off.

But FFS to deliberately stand there and insist on taking a match-deciding penalty in injury time when you know fine well you're not only in poor form but also f***ing s***e at penalties? When you're going to the bottom of the table if you miss? And - this is what really sickens my mince - when you've seen Milivojevic score his third completely unstoppable penalty in as many months barely an hour earlier and he's standing right f***ing next to you? Oh and I nearly forgot. Then you take a penalty like *that*!?

Please tell me if you've ever seen anyone in a Palace shirt conduct himself like that during a match because I really can't think of a time when a Palace player has acted more like a total, complete and utter bellend.

Third party steps in. Tells CB to fvck off and Luka he's taking it end of. Dann should have been that man. Almost as big a tool as CB.

This is how I feel. Of course i understand WHY Benteke wanted it, but so what. He put his desire to end his drought above the explicit team instructions - instructions that he knew about (see the first penalty). This even before you factor in that the designated taker had already buried an unstoppable penalty about 3/4 of an hour earlier!

It looked to me as if they would have been in the business of having to physically cart Benteke away. Pity Hodgson's physio doesn't keep an air rifle and a supply of tranquiliser darts in his bag.

Just been trying to think of when a player has pi**ed me off more than this. In Palace history really struggling. I think the only occasion that comes close was when David Beckham kicked Diego Simeone and got himself sent off when England were in with a chance of knocking the Argies out of the World Cup. That was nearly 20 years ago now.

You can forgive honest mistakes, even stupid ones, but thick-skulled, fat-headed bellends trying to be Billy Big Bollocks are another matter.

So everyone is rightly very angry but that gets us no-where. So the question is what to do now. Without any kind of alternative we need Benteke in the side. No doubt the players and management are as pissed as everyone else. Hopefully Benteke is feeling stupid and remorseful. In fact until that moment he was having his best game this year. So we need to channel all the emotions into something positive. Fining him might be
appropriate but not dropping him, especially if he eats humble pie, apologises to everyone and turns up on Tuesday night with fire in his belly. Giving him grief on Tuesday would be completely counter productive. We can all be prats. The measure of a man is whether he can admit it.
