Nick, there's a disconnection between the ethics of what should happen and what is possible.

You can't force multinationals or large companies to pay their fair share. They will always attempt to pay the lowest they can get away with using their form of benefits/costs analysis.

I agree with you that it should happen but not if they take their investment elsewhere.

Look at what Ireland do with their tax regime for business.

The reason we have such a successful economy is because we sleep with the devil instead of denouncing him.

If you want to denounce him then fine but he has the tunes that people want to hear.

Mmmmm minion waffle...

Labour drone? Is that all you've got. Hide behind your obvious political ignorance with name calling.

Obviously the wife only wanted you to hoover upstairs because you've returned to the discussion quite quickly.

Can I ask you, during the recent election campaign, you were saying how the labour manifesto was rubbish and the tory one was really great.
Fast forward a few weeks and you say the performance was not very good because of a s***e manifesto. We also see things dropped from the tory manifesto that labour opposed in their manifesto. If the labour manifesto was so s***e, why are tories basing policies on it?

That's not left wing guff, just a genuine question as i'd like a tory perspective on what's happened.

Call it ignorance all you like but I'm simply not interested in the predictable tedium of political tittle tattle. You have demonstrated a mind behind your years many times on here and your schoolboy like enthusiasm for this sort of party political drivel is yet another example of it.

Patronising guff.

Maybe you don't realise there is such a thing as popping around to local shops.
Perhaps you prefer "Gusseting" to other such activities.

At the end of the day the Labour manifesto was pure fantasy economics as part of their 'La-La Land' and I have re-iterated this several times. And Yes I was totally honest about our abject campaign - we just did not make the ecomonic case and rubbish the nonsence in Labour's 'Little red book'.

I was also honest about our manifesto which I felt was also abject but to claim that there has been some Damascene conversion to Labour policies is laughable in the extreme.Total and utter hogash.

You are simply dealing in falsehoods to further your left-wing agenda.

By furthering left wing agenda, you mean giving my opinions. Funny that you not 3 or 4 posts ago accused me of using emotive language.

Why should 'Hrolf' respond to each and every one of your questions ? Who do you think you are 'Jeremy Paxman' ?

You are entitled to foisting your opinions on us - as part of your 'Left-Wing' agenda, "Gusseting" et al.

Actually by saying "Emotive language" I believe I was being quite charitable.

I was just curious as to why he keeps posting on a Theresa May thread but not actually talking about Theresa May.

I will talk about Theresa May Nick as I think she made a blunder calling the election after all her so called close cabinet members begged her too and we all know what happened then. It was a good job most of the public saw through Labours manifesto that would have put us deeper the mire as did Boy Blair's lot did.
I think we should all get together and hope Brexit gets us out of the EU and on a firm footing. All this slagging off and personal posts on the Hol do us no good I am afraid. We should all really shut up and let TM get on with doing a job on the EU as it is in ALL our interests whether you voted stay in or get out. Brexit IS happening so lets all just wait and see how it pans out shall we?

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.
