Those queues down at the NHS medical centre have a lot to answer for. Hopefully, he's now got an appointment and will see the doctor this morning? Are we there yet?

Are we there yet? Apparently not. It's been reported throughout the night by all and sundry that he's still having a medical. I'm trying to look for positives from a medical that's lasted 18 hours or so. I suppose it shows the guy's still got stamina.

A top striker, one of his best attributes will be his movement, creating that half a yard for himself, being able to get the shot on target, something I'm hoping Benteke will bring to the side. Contrary to popular belief on this message board, I actually saw Bolasie put a few decent balls in the box last year, at Selhurst especially, but having Wickham, Bamford and Adebayor as your attacking talent would nullify any teams goalscoring ability. LOL! Are you for real? Benteke won't score sh1t without assistance from team-mates and EVERYBODY knows that hence the transfer targets this window. I suppose Gayle and Murray weren't good enough for you either? Of that's right, they're in the 'Championship'. Oh and you SAW Bolasie put in decent crosses eh? Forget what everyone else sees! I said in my first post that striker efficiency should be based on opportunities. You have a problem with that eh? eh? eh? Sack the c^nt when he's not scoring from the bench? Blame the c^nt when he's not getting chances? Demand the poor c^nt goes and wins the ball himself and beats PL defenders and scores???? What a great manager YOU would be... Listen up and get educated: Nothing wrong with most of our strikers of the last 3 years. A few maybe. But mostly they were ok. Our problem has ALWAYS been in midfield since we last came up. What's this thread about????

Just as a conversation point while we wait for news on Flamini, it seems we haven't given up on Tomas Rincon either and may pursue him again in January. A central midfield of Rincon, Flamini & Cabaye sounds great to me. 4-5-1 with Zaha & Townsend wide feeding Benteke.

These would have been guaranteed starters in the past but now have some classy competitors to dislodge. The increasing quality, competition and options in the squad can only be good for the future. The outlook seems bright imo.
