Here's what Sky have to say about it. I'll save you clicking through, the answer is nothing.

Actually, it's not. Here's their report on the matter: [Link]

Apparently Cardiff are confident that "their FA complaint will be handled in the appropriate manner" and will "receive a fair hearing."

Not confident their complaint will be upheld or palace punished in any way then.

Everyone with any sense can see this has all been cooked up by Tan to distract from his disastrous management of his club. I'd say this has a less than zero chance of derailing our season.

I see the BBC were crowing about the fact that we could get docked 3 points. Haven't these c***s heard of innocent until proven guilty? It's like the b******s are itching to make an example of us, despite the fact that unless money has changed hands, then absolutely NOTHING illegal has happened. The whole Freedman element is somewhat surprising too. How on earth did he receive the text? No loyalty from him, the bitter c***.
Just read Martin Samuels' article in yesterdays Daily Mail, even he thinks the whole thing is a load of bollocks. Why is it that every time we think things are going well then some c*** has to come and throw a spanner in the works.

f*** YOU CARDIFF CITY AND VINCENT TANN. MAY YOU ROT IN THE LOWER LEAGUES FOR MANY YEARS TO COME AND HOPEFULLY GO BANKRUPT TOO.

Cardiff have called on the Premier League to order that their controversial 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace is replayed but their plea looks set to fail.

The Welsh club lodged an official complaint to the Premier League this week alleging that their team for the game was leaked following an approach by Palace director of football Iain Moody.

Cardiff claim Moody, who they sacked last year, contacted three members of their staff to find out their line-up and that his behaviour breached Premier League rules.

Further reports from the BBC today reveal details of a five-page letter sent by Cardiff’s lawyers to the League claiming Palace boss Tony Pulis knew of Moody’s attempts and that the result “should not be allowed to stand”.

Standard Sport understands it is very unlikely the match will be played again as there is no precedent for a result to be declared void.

The Premier League confirmed this week they were investigating but Palace have already denied the accusations.

After Cardiff’s complaints came to light, Moody admitted he had talked to people within the game about what their team might be, but insisted he had not made contact with anyone at the club.

He said: “That is incredibly, extraordinarily untrue. That is untrue, completely untrue. Absolutely not — not under any circumstances.”

Chairman Steve Parish explained that they had received information from an agent, with only nine of the 11 names received being correct.

He then hit back at Cardiff, saying: “It’s completely far-fetched to me. I can’t imagine it in a million years. I think it will be sour grapes really.”

Im going to that hovel in Wales and I am going to throw fire bombs into the directors box when Cardiff play brighton next year. Thus Vincent Tan and Tony Bloom shall sleep with the fishes.

Apparently Cardiff are trying to say that the result we got there should not stand due to the supposed leak.
This smacks of desperation on Cardiff's part but I wouldn't put it past the powers that be to screw us over.
This story is on the BBC sport website.

Thoughts?

Not against you personally mate but you're the most recent poster that seems to think the powers that be would want to "screw us over" ! What do you base this on ?

Complete rubbish, Palace make the same contributions towards their partition in the Premier League, they will get same treatment as any other club.

As stated before: SECTION B Rule B15 states: "In all matters and transactions relating to the league each club shall behave towards each other club and the league with the utmost good faith".

SECTION B Rule 17 goes on, "A Club shall not without the Board’s prior written consent either during its membership of the League or at any time after its membership has terminated disclose or divulge either directly or indirectly to any Person whatsoever or otherwise make use of any confidential information as to the business or finances of the League or any other Club or any of their dealings, transactions or affairs or as to any other matters which may come to its knowledge by reason
of its membership save to statutory and regulatory authorities or as may be required by law or to such Officials and Auditors of that Club to whom such disclosure is strictly necessary for the purpose of their duties and then only to the extent so necessary".
That to me is what Cardiff may be using as justification for their complaint, I may be wrong but as I read that as a non Englishman, it could also implicate Cardiff for their failings.

Also there is no mention of this type of issue in APPENDIX 5 & 6 Managers and clubs code of conduct.

So unless the Premier league introduce a new rule, it's a storm in a teacup, as this sort of thing has been going on for years, even when I was playing it was going on, every club tried to get their opponents lineup before they named theirs, and I retired in 1977, it's called trying to outwit your opponent.

Exactly - As I said earlier, there is no actual 'rule' that has been broken, you could argue if we did do this then we went against a very shaky and vague ethical 'guidleine' to which no-one can actually pass a judgement on

So you're saying that some clubs don't get better treatment than others? Man utd don't get certain decisions that we wouldn't? You can dismiss what I say as complete rubbish, you're entitled to your opinion, but the fact is I have absolutely no faith in the people running the game. Every one knows that they love making examples of people, unless you're one of the big five of course.

The point is that any general pant wetting that we have broken some sacrosanct hard an fast rule is disingenuous

Do teams get decisions on and off the pitch in favour of bigger clubs - absolutely.

Are the powers that be likely to make a ruling in favour of Tan and Cardiff that opens a massive can of worms for them in the future - of course not

Haven't read the entire thread but as far as I can make out, Cardiff are in disrepute for disclosing their team!

Sounds like Tan's desperate attempt to deflect attention from his own catastrophic management of CCFC will fall flat on its face. What an odious little man he is.

all starts to make sense why BBC are whipping up the frenzy...

David Bond is an English sports journalist, currently the BBC's Sports Editor.

Bond began his journalistic career on the South London Press covering Millwall F.C., the football club he supports

The David Bond BBC piece reports a supposed exchange between Pulis and Solskjaer after the match:

It is claimed Solskjaer said to Pulis: "I am disgusted that your head of recruitment [Moody] is texting one of my players to get our team."

Pulis allegedly responded: "Oooh, I know. I didn't ask for it."

Are they saying Tony Pulis is in fact Julian Clary in disguise?

Honestly, I could have picked the Cardiff team bar 1, Jones, it's simple with the changes included, Fabio was injured, from the previous game, so not likely to play, wilf the only man with pace and quality to play that wing to replace him, I know Fabio is a full back but OGS has used wilf as replacement moving a midfielder back to cover,

And Bellamy plays 1 in 2 games, he starts less, he started the match previous so likely not to start, Daehli was his obvious replacement with OGS becoming more trusting in him,

And as I already said Jones is the only one I couldn't have predicted.

As for formation, OGS being former utd is a 4-4-2 / 4-4-1-1 (if he had the quality of player to play as a false 10) type of manager, he wasn't going to play 4-5-1 in a game he thought he could win, however if he done his homework he'd have noticed TPs favoured formation and even his starting 11, he wouldn't risk playing 4-3-3 with fear of being exposed by Yala, Punchy, Ward and Mariappa!

Simple!
