Much more to get through to you apparently. Patting yourself on the back for regurgitating the same line. As I said (again and again) there is acknowledgment that in war both sides inevitably commit war crimes and that no one source is an endlessly unbiased fount. You're the only who is in complete denial about the invaders role in that and your own bias. Clear evidence presented is fobbed off with joke 'shadows', 'no longer believe our media', 'Russia has no motive to do this' fantasy, while for Ukraniane any old unsourced twitter video, alt-media bog roll, or terrified captive Geneva convention breaking propoganda piece is all you need ... to fuel your unreality. Japan is attending a NATO summit for the first time ever, prompted by Russia's invasion of Ukraine "A Japanese leader will attend a NATO summit for the first time ever in a move prompted by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said on Wednesday that he plans to attend the NATO summit, which is due to take place from June 28 to June 30 in Madrid, Spain. He said that Japan will "argue that security in Europe and the Indo-Pacific is inseparable, and that unilateral changes in the status quo by force are not allowed anywhere in the world." Kishida said that Russia's harming world peace should not be forgiven, and that breaking international law comes "at a high price."

Ex-Russia captain Igor Denisov says 'maybe they'll kill me' for opposing invasion Former Russia captain Igor Denisov has become one of the highest-profile athletes still living in the country to speak out against the war in Ukraine. Denisov, who earned 54 caps between 2008 and 2016, called the invasion a "catastrophe" and a "complete horror". The ex-midfielder made the comments in an interview with sports journalist Nobel Arustamyan published on YouTube. "Maybe they'll put me in jail or kill me for these words, but I'm telling it like it is," said the 38-year-old. Denisov, who played more than 300 games for Zenit St Petersburg before ending his playing career with Lokomotiv Moscow in 2019, said that he "loved his country" and did not want to leave Russia. He has also written to President Vladimir Putin to express his opposition to the invasion, which started on 24 February. "I am a proud guy. This was after three or four days," Denisov added. "I even said to him that I am ready to go on my knees before you so that he would stop it all." Very few public figures still living in Russia have openly opposed the "special military operation", as Moscow terms it. Russian media outlets can even be fined or blocked for using the words "war" or "invasion" to describe what is happening in Ukraine. During Denisov's interview with Arustamyan, certain words used by him to refer to Russian actions in Ukraine appear to have been blanked out, with a crackling sound played instead. And while Sports.ru, one of the country's most prominent sports websites, reported Denisov's comments, it did not use the words "war" or "invasion", instead referring to his discussions on "life after 24 February".

Western placed sanctions are hurting the working class man here more than in Russia itself....most people on any side have little interest in foreign wars....Especially not in ways that affect their ability to put food on their family's table and pay their bills....How much say do they get?...when winter is here a lot of this will hit home despite the government's welcome attempts to lessen the impact. At a time where efforts should be focused upon a negotiated peace all we see are one eyed justifications for the continuance of a war that Nato has no obligation to fight. That fecking idiot in the WH and the neo cons on both the Democrat and Republican side have just added another billion towards fighting this war to the last Ukrainian.....some of whom are drafted against their will and forced to fight. It's often the case that rather than admit that their judgement was poor people will increasingly double down on a position just as long as they themselves aren't suffering that badly as ego is far more important to most. However, this war was a fecking disaster with no good outcome for the west from the very start and its outcomes for us and the Ukraine just worsen with its length. Edited by Stirlingsays (16 Jun 2022 7.19pm) What was the point of sanctions on a country that has all the resources we need? These sanctions are probably the best things that happened to Russia in years.

So the great and the good can virtue signal to themselves.....pick and choose morality as seen with Yemen and Saudi....In truth it's far less about morality and far more about competing power structures....idiotic games played by manipulative liars. They won't be suffering. The days of your betters going over the top with you and meeting the machine guns along with their men like our great grandfathers are long long gone.
