Aww, thats a shame, i was really hoping for a motd presenter. Oh well.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Or we could just make it voluntary.

No-one would pay. Would you pay your tax if it was voluntary?

But but everybody loves the BBC it's so popular, beside Netflix and Amazon Prime seem to survive without compulsion.

When people say "we don't want the BBC to follow a subscription model because the content is so good we'd hate to see it falter" they are only destroying their own argument. If the content is good a subscription model would succeed. If the content is bad it wouldn't be missed if it didn't succeed.

If an adult was 'chatting' lovehearts to someone who says they are still at school, wouldn't you be concerned ?

As do BritBox, Now TV, Disney Plus and Apple TV.

It does. It is that the cases are all different.

It also learns. As we all ought to as time passes. Savile was the watershed. Trusted and revered by royalty and politicians he duped them all. Thatcher tried to get him a knighthood.

So now the BBC has to find the balance between not acting precipitously and ensuring the least damage is done to its reputation. Not easy and in some eyes always a failure.

Different in that one presenter works for a rival so the story is in the public interest.
Something within the BBC has allowed this culture of dubious practice, if not outright abuse, to develop and continue and seeing this case is after Savile not much seems to have changed.

So,nice statement from the wife. All about victim Huw, no mention or apology to the youngsters that he threatened, persued, abused ,they are just trash.
