I wouldn't be too unhappy with £65 million plus Reiss Nelson on a permanent. Valued at £15 million and looks to be a good prospect for the future (hopefully near future).

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I don't care if Everton offer £100m if we sell Wilf to Everton it's a joke. He's actually worth more to us than £100m, probably, but if a big club come in for him and pay £80m+ then you couldn't begrudge him a move. However, if he moves to Everton he has basically accepted he'll never play for a CL club and perhaps just wants more money. I really can't see it happening, but you never know.

I was just thinking of this idea.

I'd be okay with £60M cash up front, Nelson on loan with an option to buy and a player (anyone but Jenkinson).

I'm getting a little fed up of this rumour and it is just going to go on and on until deadline day.

Deep joy !

We'll have Ayew so we'll be fine if we sell Wilf now. Job done.

Did you go to the school of the spineless?

I'd tell him to get back to work or have his pay suspended.

HE HAS FOUR YEARS ON HIS CONTRACT.

We have some thick fans on here, Wilf goes before the 14 day deadline, and its game over, relegation certainties. Even Parish must know that, who gives a f**k what Wilf wants.

Meanwhile back in the real world he would be sold. Footballs about money not principals. It’s a grubby business now.

In the real world, a contract is a contract.

If we sell Zaha we will be relegated.
How much is your 60 million worth then?

I know that certain among us think that caving into player demands is a matter of course when a loss of money is involved, but really, that only happens when you have a gutless chairman or a player who is in the last two years of his contract.

This may well be an unpopular view on here but if we get the required fee I would sell Zaha.
He’s the best and most exciting Palace player I’ve seen in long years supporting the club.
My preference would be for him to stay and honour his contract..
However, you can’t have this situation arising every window where he sends out his enigmatic tweets, allows his agent/ camp to leak stories and gives interviews about wanting to play for a Champions League club.
For people to say it’s not Wilf’s fault about these stories he has to take partial responsibility.
He could quash them immediately by stating he has a long term contract and has no desire to leave.
The fact he has not done so tells it’s own story.
The irony is that the only apparent club’s interested. Arsenal and Everton, are not in the Champions League.
We are over reliant on him which is an unhealthy situation and the club has to be more important than the player in the long run.

"Told Palace of his desire to leave after returning from the AFCON" I thought he went straight to Dubai for a holiday? Sky seem to have mores sources than Heinz! In fact very few seem to come to fruition (and don't get me started on Jim White)

Yes, sell him at the end of next season, not 2 weeks before the deadline with no replacements in.

Have we given him an extra £50k a week yet?

That usually sorts out this nonsense every summer.
