I reckon £30m plus SENSIBLE add-ons may well do it. Now, that would be fairly well balanced with the Bolasie deal, so it's difficult to believe we can't stretch to that.

Having Benteke in for a few weeks of pre-season and fit for Wet Brom game could be the difference between a loss and a Win at West Brom.

We have basically lost 3 points already because of the dithering and penny pinching. How many more points will we lose over the next 5 or 6 weeks (if you take into consideration the time it will take to get a striker up to speed).

The 3 points we have already lost could be the difference between a couple of places at the end of the season which is probably 2 or 3 million in prize money. Lets be optimistic and say we only lose another 3 points or so over the next few weeks due to lack of fire power, that could be 3 or 4 places or 5 million in prize money.........in other words this penny pinching rubbish is likely to cost us money rather than save it.

Also, if we dont meet Liverpool's evaluation and they have to keep him they will just let him out on loan to Turkey and not have to suffer his wages at all. Then in January god knows how much we will have to pay for him when we are in a relegation battle

My concern though is that after the Bolasie sale, other clubs now know that A) We have money to spend and B) we are absolutely desperate for strikers. Presumably it will push up asking prices across the board.

If we are still haggling over the price another future stumbling block could be the player themselves unless terms have already been agreed ? Seems to be heading to a last minute scramble here and looking like a real can of worms.
